Comfort Inn

While traveling on spring break (lucky, I know), we couldn’t find a hotel from north of Nashville to Athens, GA. I called this place hoping for a room since it’s a few miles off 65. We got lucky. Very clean and very friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this place. Comfortable beds, too. Decent breakfast option, but they could use more seating (we shared a long table — no big deal really, met some nice people). The only reason for the 4 of 5 stars is because the place was older. The wallpaper in our room had a stain (from champagne we are guessing — maybe I’m just jealous). You can see the staff does their best with the property. I suggest you give them your business if you get the chance.

This Little Comfort Inn is run by a really nice couple who are working like crazy to upgrade. Right now the parking lot is being completely torn out and replaced, which makes things a bit messy. They are doing it in sections, though, so you can pretty much avoid the areas they are working on. They just finished completely renovating the Lobby, and the rooms are being fitted with new beds. The free breakfast is the usual mid priced hotel fair, eggs with bacon or sausage, and a plethora of carbohydrates, like bagels, pastry, and cereal. The rooms are clean and well kept. I stay here often on an out of town job, and find it very comfortable. The employees are all friendly and helpful as well. I will add a star when the remodeling is complete.
