We wanted to see alligators and swamp without driving to the everglades. This trip did just that! Great for our kids 13, 10, 8, and 5. Beautiful and interesting our guide did a great job. Everyone there was so friendly. We would recommend this trip!

We went during the dry season and it was still fantastic! We got there 30 minutes early, which was plenty of time to check out the small exhibits and animals near the gift store. The Eco-Tour buggy is an old, converted school bus with some big mud tires and no windows — so anywhere you sit has a fantastic view. Our tour guide was SO informative and you stop about half way through and take a walk down a board walk among some huge cypress trees(not much water there this time, but apparently a very different experience during the rainy season). We still went through some wet portions of swamp and there is an awesome bridge over some water where you are almost guaranteed to see some alligators! We also saw some snakes, lots of great birds, and a herd of cracker cattle(which roam free in parts of the ranch). Really a great way to get out into the ranch to learn about the history and see some nature. We’d like to go again over the summer just for the different experience! Totally worth the trip!

Florida’s unspoiled, natural beauty, along with its abundance and assortment of local wildlife, are the highlights of a guided ride with Babcock Wilderness Adventures. This is a wonderful way to see a working ranch and a preserved part of Florida that takes you back in time and back to a time when this state was in its natural state. Dress for the weather and for comfort since you will be boarding a converted school bus as opposed to a fully outfitted motorcoach. Bug spray, water and cameras would be welcome additions for protection, hydration and preservation. The tours offered at the Crescent B. Ranch carry passengers from pristine pastureland populated with grazing cattle to dank swamplands teeming with plant and animal life. The 90-minute tour is expertly narrated by the bus driver and there are multiple stops for photos, to spot wildlife or to just soak in the sights and listen to the sounds of nature. A short walk across a boardwalk takes you into the heart of Telegraphy Cypress Swamp.
