Review for the large dog area is 5 stars. They’ve upgraded to benches and shade for humans and cut grass and a fire hydrant for the dogs. Fenced in and large enough for me to throw the dozens of tennis balls at my hardest and still stay in the park, but I’m not a long thrower. They’ve also included a plastic wading pool in case dogs want to give themselves the ultimate cool down. There’s a neat water fountain called the K-9 guzzler that makes it easy for your pup to drink water if the dozen of buckets doesn’t suffice. At that point I figure you’d better be off hosing down your furry friend, which you can also do here. Enough grass for dogs and humans in case people want to lay in the grass, however I don’t recommend it for obvious reasons. There is an adjacent park just outside of the dog park for two-legged use. People seem attentive enough to their dogs and seem to socialize with regulars. As an out of towner, I felt fine isolating to my own shaded bench. Dogs seem to be having a blast. I’m sure we’ll be back for more tomorrow.
