Don’t bring children on the sunset cruise. We brought our Tiger Scout den. You know, seven year olds. The old people complained that the boys continuously walked from aft to stern. Then the«captain» sent some clown to speak to my wife about the complaints. Which is acceptable when the conversation is professional and courteous. My wife asked why advertise as «family friendly» when the geriatric clientele commons about children? The gentleman a reply, hey what ever turns you on. Kind of ruins the trip. Needless to say retirees make this unpleasant. Drive to Marina Jacks in Sarasota. That is a much better trip.

These guys are awesome! We camped on Cayo Costa and we went with king fisher there. They know all about the wildlife around and the history of the area. Ron was our captain and Ralph was the first mate. They were both very enjoyable to chat with. I highly recommend king fisher for day cruises.

What a lovely way to spend the day! We went on the cabbage key cruise. The vessel has both indoor and outdoor seating so that you can go where you feel comfortable. Most people wander in and out. They have a snack bar where you can buy candy, soda, and coffee, among other things while you are on the boat. Throughout the ride the crew alerts you to interesting wildlife that you can see, or fun facts about the area. They drop you off at Cabbage Key where you can get lunch at the local restaurant, which is pretty good and I believe only accessible by boat! On the ride back we were on the bow and the captain came out and told us a bunch of cool stories about himself and the area, and also answered a bunch of questions that we had. He knew the answer to everything we asked too, it was kind of amazing. Definitely a fun adventure and a very helpful and fun crew to ride out with. They are great at what they do, including maneuvering the boat in such a way that discourages sea sickness. King Fisher Fleet offers a fun and interesting outing, especially for those who are visiting the area.

We sent the folks out for the day cruise to Cayo Costa on King Fisher’s Island Star despite the cooler temperatures and stiff breeze, and they all enjoyed themselves thoroughly. FYI, «Narrated two hour cruise» means that they talk some as they are leaving the dock, not that they’re pointing out any of the history or highlights of the area. If you’re looking for more than this, we’d suggest the Chamber tour. Make sure you pack your lunch, sunscreen, and some towels and enjoy Cayo Costa! Jim & Colette
