Island General Store

«If we don’t have it, you don’t need it!»
I heard the trolley tour guide tell a group of folks that this was their motto and it probably couldn’t be more true. From the looks of the outside you might not think there would be much in here but you would be mistaken. Island General Store is jam packed with everything under the sun. They have fresh produce, a deli, frozen foods, drinks of all sorts, household items, beauty items, charcoal, snacks… you name, they most likely have it. Prices are more Target style than Walmart but still not bad considering. I was pretty impressed with the selection. It’s a little tight in the store but worth stopping in if you forgot something or want some snacks.

I was really surprised at the selection and fairly decent prices here. We came with nothing so we had to load up on eats and drinks when we arrived and I held my breath when waiting for the total. I breathed a sigh of relief when I realized it wasn’t all that bad. Now, cereal was close to $ 5 a box and there were some things on my list I quickly marked off as even an option but all in all very reasonable. It was clean, quick, and while it was relatively small, it was fully packed. The liquor store adjacent to it as great prices as well. The general store does not appear to sell alcohol unless I just completely overlooked it.
