Great spot right on the water, definitely has the feel of an island eatery. Wind was blowing hard, so we sat inside for our meal. My wife is a conch fritter fanatic, so we had to order those as an appetizer. The fritters were on the small side, but were tasty and crisp. Their dipping sauce(a key lime tartar sauce) was too sweet for our liking, but adding some Frank’s Red Hot sauce fixed that right up. For lunch, my wife had the mahi fish tacos and I had the fried butterfly shrimp. The mahi tacos came as a «kit» where you build your own tacos. A nice selection of veggies and cheese came with the grilled fish, but the fish was on the dry side so a bit of sauce was needed to jazz it up. My shrimp were tasty, but came with the same key lime tartar sauce(as described above) so more Frank’s to the rescue. Shoestring fries were plentiful, crispy and tasty… although due to their thin nature they cooled off rather quickly. One last comment, the meal came with a cole slaw that was(once again, for our tastes) too sweet and we passed. Given their location on Lake Erie, The Keys does a reasonable job of trying to mimic a seaside bar and eatery… but I grew up in Miami, Florida so I guess I’m a bit spoiled as to what to expect.

Um well what can I say I went here twice as in once the first evening and the second time for our last meal. The first time we sat outside by the fire pits and tiki torches. I got the lobster sliders and sweet potato fries. My partner in crime got the conch. It was soooo good best thing I had at this place. It’s what saves this from a lower rating because our second time was atrocious and would rate a negative star. We literal waited fifteen minutes for a server after going to the hostesses three times. I got the Key West salad that really could of used more of the other ingredients than lettuce. I got it with chicken on top. My hubby got the salad with Brussels sprouts and kale. He loved it we just were so disenchanted with being ignored. We were so preoccupied with that we really couldn’t enjoy our food as much as we would of.

My wife and I had a terrific view right on the water facing the lighthouse. The food and drinks matched the view. I got the black and bleu grouper with she crab soup. This was probably the 200th grouper sandwich that I have had and it was spectacular. Great combo of seasoning and freshness. Didn’t care for the soup as much but wasn’t bad. The drinks we had were from the frozen drink machines along the way. Fat Tuesday appears to partner with The Keys which is a nice feature. Overall great food, drinks, and our wait was great too of about 30 minutes at dinner time.

We just had drinks here, but you can’t beat the Caribbean vibe and views from here! The place is super fun with the bright colors on the buildings etc to bring you back to the Florida keys and the vibes of the Caribbean! If I came back, I would eat here! Super fun place!!!

The ambiance is very chill. Everything feels relaxed, especially compared to the other craziness of Put In Bay. It’s also very pretty as it’s right on the lake. The inside is covered with goofy signs about drinking. It has a beachy-whimsical feel. We had a table of 15 and they managed to handle us very well! They don’t take reservations and the wait was an hour. That’s not too bad considering the amount of people. The waitress was amazing — she did not forget who ordered what and got everything out to us at the same time. The service was also very quick. The calamari was good, not a whole lot of legs. I’m fine with them but I know a lot of people are skeeved out by them. I had the lobster sliders which were good. The fries that came with it were SO thin and crispy! They were awesome. About half of our table ordered the fish tacos and everyone was pleased. The summer salad was also a hit.

The Keys at Put in Bay was wonderful. We were traveling with our two little dogs and they made all of us welcome. The atmosphere was great– sitting on the deck by the water. Service was great and the food was very good. We had the grouper fingers– worth it! My husband had the perch sandwich and I had the shrimp.

I will have to go again for a thorough review. We went on a Monday after torrential storms and flooding. The island was quiet. But I love the view and options now verses the old stuffy steak house. 3 bars. Nice motif of indoor and outdoor seating. Good for groups. Good for kids at least while I was there during the day. Very friendly staff. AC outlets inside if you need power to charge your phone.

Visited this restaurant twice on our recent trip to PIB. Once was upon arrival for a little lake side lunch with my husband and we enjoyed the conch fritters and I had the fish tacos while my husband had a hamburger. The day was a bit chilly and storms rolling in but we were able to get in a quick lunch before the weather turned. Our lunch was typical, but consistent. The tacos were great — the blackened spiced them up a bit but not too much. A little messy, but hey its tacos! The conch fritters were very good along with the sauce. On our 2nd day there, we decided to meet up with a group of friends — like 8 of us. We sat inside as that was the largest table available. We decided this place as I knew the menu would cater to many and the selection of drinks would satisfy the crowd. We stayed for about 2 hours enjoying stories, drinks and food. We asked if we could move our group outside as there were many tables available and the hostess informed us that we had to order food if we sat outside… specifically the lake side tables were«food service only». I explained that we already ordered food and we just wanted to enjoy drinks in the nice weather… unfortunately they were unable to accommodate this request then I was told they would… that left a negative feeling to our group so we took our entire check(on 1 bill) cashed out and left. Therefore, if you want ‘island’ seating outside you best order food service or be told to sit inside or off the lake front.

I had been wanting to eat here forever! I’m so glad I finally did because it was such a cool chill place. It felt whimsical and definitely had a Florida feel, plus you get to eat waterfront just like if you were on vacation. The food was really good; Mahi tacos, onion rings, pizza, fries… so yummy! I wish the prices were a little lower but it’s not too bad considering all of the other great things.
