This place must have changed ownership. Went from first to worst. They have one waitress doing everything, including bar tending, takeout orders and one cook. Ridiculous. Food quality also tanked. Needs an intervention at this point.

Just had to walk out because of the lack of service. The one and only waitress had to answer phones, bartend, take walk ins orders, wait tables to 1 big yable of 8 a table of 4 and us. The lack of a full wait service on a friday night shows contempt for the customer. So very disappointed in Palmieri’s lately. So long time customer says so long.

Calzones were half the size, spinach was not cooked and there was none of it. Eggplant was hard and didn’t follow the order

This used to be my favorite pizza place in town. No where else could you find the NYC style of pizza. Their sauce was wonderful and the pizza was delicious. It wasn’t the greatest value but they were the only ones in town with the thin crust pizza. As of tonight I will not be back. Every time I am in there the service gets worse and worse. Also the value for what you get is no longer worth it. Tonight when asked to put aside a slice of buffalo chicken pizza so I could bring it home for my wife who was working late, they had not put it aside, but sold it. Then when I asked them about why I was charged the gourmet price for a one topping calzone my answer was that if you get anything in the calzone the price goes up to gourmet level. This is in direct disagreement with what the menu indicates. The menu simply says that each additional topping is 50 cents and not the extra three dollars I was charged. The last time we ordered out from there the pepperoni pizza was burnt on the bottom. I was hoping this was a fluke but clearly this is a pattern of an uncaring and a penny hoarding attitude. We won’t be back.

Really disappointed with the pizza. I have had better pizza from Market Basket. 2 Pizzas, 2 bottles of Pepsi and 2 salads= $ 71. I really expected more. We won’t be back.

We were from out of town and discovered it by accident. Excellent stromboli and sauce. The beer was super cold so that rates a 4 in my book. Waitress Kiersten was fun and engaging

I used to love to eat here, however my most recent experience was a complete disappointment. I ordered a pizza half margarita half pepperoni, well done and I got a soggy under cooked pizza. There was a pool of grease. I also ordered garlic knots with barely any garlic and they were so burnt. I also noticed a table next to me got a Steak and cheese grinder and the woman sent her grinder back because the cheese wasn’t even melted. Sad to say I will never go back there for pizza. Just sad that it went down hill…

Pizza is the best in Putnam and surrounding towns. I only have one gripe which is why I’m giving 3 stars: The«deal» listed here on Unilocal– $ 20 coupon for $ 10– ISNOTACCEPTEDATPALMIERI’S!!! Instead of saving money with that coupon, it was money wasted. I don’t know if I should blame Unilocal or the restaurant, but I got stiffed! Pizza is good, though not worth the extra $ 10 I wasted on the«deal». Eff-U bogus Unilocal coupon!

Good pizza, good Italian. Not a place to head for atmosphere, but the meal will not disappoint.

Stopped in and had a good pizza, potato skins, salad and a cup of soup with a small family of four. Everything was great, glad I had the coupon cause it seems a little overpriced. Not sure if it will replace pyzzz as my Putnam pizza spot.

When I’m in town this is my go to spot for pizza. Hands down the best in the area. Service is sometimes slow but the quality of the food makes up for that. From plain pies to more gourmet creations I haven’t had a bad experience here. My only complaint is this… if I order a second cup of hot tea I would appreciate a new teabag because recycled tea is just nasty.

The food was pretty unimpressive; from soggy mozzarella sticks to dried chicken cutlets in the chicken part sub, and a cloying sweetness in the steak sandwich. Overall the service was ok, there was just one server for the dining room and it appeared as though she was fairly busy, but not too busy to hangout by the door and talk to a friend for a few minutes before coming to check on us or take an order… We had a coupon for palmieri’s and if we didn’t I would be pretty unhappy with our experience… We probably won’t go back however.

Ate at Palmeri’s on 12⁄7. Ordered a cheese pizza & antipasto salad. Pizza was excellent. Great thin crust. Salad was filled with ham, salami & provolone cheese. House dressing was delicious! Good Pizza & Salad at a great price! Service was excellent too!

Busy night. Two pizzas, one the much lauded Buffalo Chicken. Over an hour before our appetizer, very mediocre mozzarella sticks that were under cooked. One pizza undercooked and laden with oil and cheese. Now cheese is usually a good thing on pizza, but this was the Buffalo Chicken. Our other pizza never showed up. The staff was attentive but over their head and the kitchen was out of their depth. Overall a very poor sit down experience. As a take out experience though, probably not bad. Most of the pizzas we saw were walking out the door.

Clearly the worst pizza i have ever eaten. I am from Boston and know great pizza. Extremely over priced too. not sure how they get away charging the prices they do. If you want really good pizza go to Tonys Sutton Pizza on rte 146 Millbury

this is a solid joint. i stopped in for a beer, and to get a pizza to-go. i’m thoroughly pleased that i did. first off– the service: you’re going to be called«hon,» or «sweetie.» this, i enjoy. service is warm, comfortable, and very friendly. i sat at the bar and was literally offered the remote to change the tv channel, if i so wished. conversation was easy, and enjoyable. the food: i got a NY style white pie with mozz, ricotta, parm, garlic, and oregano. when i got home, i was disappointed. where i come from, pies with ricotta usually have dollops of it portioned throughout the pizza. not seeing this, i thought they had messed up my order. oh, no– quite the contrary: the ricotta is spread thinly as an entire LAYER, thereby infusing each and every bite. delicious; absolutely, consistently delicious. the crust was thin, a bit chewy, and yummy in its own right. i highly recommend this restaurant, if only for the familiar service. i’m certain you won’t be disappointed.

Okay, every now and then I say to my wife that I’ll pick up a couple pies from Dominos. Then, she says, no, she wants Pizza tonight. And that means Palmieri’s. She’s from the NYC area and knows that this is the only New York style pizza worthy of the name for miles around. I’m not the connoisseur that she is but I’ve had enough NYC pizza to know that Palmieri’s matches it. The Italian Ices they sell are really great, too. I can’t say that we’ve really tried anything else there. They’ve got a nice enough menu and I’d love to say something else about their other food but when we’ve gone to eat there but we always end up having pizza. It is just that good. The staff is great, eat-in or carryout. I’m giving this one five stars because of how much my wife likes it.(When I’m out of town on business, coming home, I always see a few take-out boxes from Palmieri’s.)

This place is AWESOME!!! The pizza is so mouthwatering DELICIOUSNESS it’s crazy good!!! The pie is super thin and it’s not over sauced, the topping and cheese are so tasty, plus they have these garlic rolls that ae to die for. The prices are fine for the great food you get. The anipasto is another favorite! Waitstaff is always nice and friendly, worth the trip out to CT to get this great pizza!!! Delicioso!!!

This place is great compared to all of the other pizza places around here. Positives:The buffalo chicken pizza is awesome! They have gluten free pizza, staff are friendly, t hey have a frequently buyer card, the italian ice is the best I have ever had… JUSTAWESOME! Negatives: A bit coslty for a pizza $ 17 or $ 18,the other food isn’t that great… they really specialize in pizza so it is best to stick to that.
