J.A.C. Landscaping

I called JAC Landscaping to do a job on my driveway. They were prompt and came out to the house within days of calling for an estimate. I was told an estimate for the work would be ‘drawn up’ and someone will get back to me. It has now been 3 weeks, and still nothing. I called and left a message a week or so ago inquiring about my estimate. Still nothing. I am assuming maybe they didn’t want to do the work after all, or maybe they are too busy. Either way, it would have been nice to hear something. So thank you JAC Landscaping for coming out to do an estimate, and then completely forgetting to get back to me.

I hired JAC Landscaping based on the recommendation of the contractor building and installing my fence. I live in a private, gated, high end neighborhood in the north end of Tacoma with homes that range from 700K-​2M. I could comment on the complete lack of communication, professionalism and disrespect, however will focus on the terrible quality. I had 275ft of cement curbing installed — that was supposed to be rounded, aggregate, landscape curbing — but I got sidewalk curbing all throughout my yard! It wasn’t straight or level, visibly dips in places and is overall extremely poor quality. When I complained about the quality and requested to cancel the remainder of my contract, Jesse the owner offered to take out and fix any areas, but then the next day took back this offer. I paid $ 3,700 for 275ft of terrible work! Additionally, areas of my grass and yard are ruined and ripped apart, with no offer to fix. Jesse, the owner told my husband he doesn’t take jobs less than 10K but only did because his «friend asked him to.» Showed him the callus on his hand from carrying «buckets» up and down my yard. Offered to fix the terrible job he did then took it back. I believe that if it’s your first dollar or millionth dollar, if you accept the job you do it with the same quality and integrity. I’m a nurse and my husband is a Physician. We understand and value hard work, quality and integrity. JAC Landscaping is arrogant, with poor quality and accountability. I highly discourage anyone looking for a «job we’ll done» to use their services.
