Old Country Buffet

My wife and I arrived around 1pm. I went to get my salad plate and there were no salad plates available. I had to ask a manager for salad plates?! The salad plates he brought were hot?! Then I discovered there was spinach, but no lettuce. I had to ask our waitress for more lettuce seeing there was no one attending the salad bar?! Then there were no radishes?! During the meal they ran out of roast beef, ham, dinner rolls, and desserts?! There was a very long wait for food items to be replenished. The tables were not cleaned off in a timely manner after customers left and the restaurant looked messy?! There were four mangers on duty «plus» a hospitality manager, but there was no leadership skills solving the problems?! During the meal we heard our neighbor saying, «there are no dinner plates!» So we weren’t the only ones to notice a problem in the restaurant. Many people had to wait for dinner plates to be restocked. Talked with our waitress and she said the dish washer was broken and they were washing dishes by hand! I asked her if the dishes were sterilized and she said, «yes!» I wonder?! With so many other restaurants around with better customer service we will rethink our selection and choose a better place to spend our retirement dollars!

Such a wonderful time with our Big family. Been here so many times I lost track. Wide variety of food. There is something for everyone at OCB.

Salad bar is a mess. Croutons were floating in with the Italian dressing. Ice cream area dirty. (They were out of ice cream.) The area where the drinks are was dirty. Not enough drinking glasses. All around experience? We’re not coming back. I used to bring my daughter here as a child. This has definitely gone downhill since then.

Good old fashioned Country cooking like I’m used to.
I feel like I’m at Granny’s.
Mashed potatoes
Cornbread
Deserts :pie, cake, cheesecake.
Beverage bar.
Salad bar.

Needless to say, the food here is AMERICAN FOOD. Everything is made to please «The Walton’s»
John boy would be pleased to eat here.
Elizabeth would be happy because most of the dishes are just like momma’s.

The food was cold, flavorless, and the buffet itself isn’t very large. Not impressed.

Good olé country time billy back food.
Plenty of overeaters here.
Lots of country people food.
Clean facilities.
Friendly staff.
Good salad bar.
Filtered water.
Come on Unilocalers… Be reasonable. You guys expect too much and want to pay too little.

We used to come here frequently because we could always be guaranteed a good meal for a reasonable price. Not so anymore. The prices are up and drinks now need to be purchased separately. Although the salad bar was still good, nothing else was. Most of the entrees were either empty, really old or over cooked. Did not enjoy this meal at all and will not be back. Poor selection, poor quality and slow service from our wait person in an almost empty restaurant.

I don’t frequent buffets very often but I was happy with this one. The food was good and the environment was clean. They had a decent amount of variety and the prices were decent. We really enjoyed the lunch and our second trip for dinner (not the same day) was a surprise with the fresh cut meats that they offered. Overall we will return when the buffet urge returns.

This is the kind of place you go because your grandparents choose dinner… Which is exactly what happened to me.
OCB is pretty standard at whatever one you go to. Questionable food. ALWAYS. I think the best thing I had was the cornbread and my salad… Everything else was super eh.
The service here was really great though, hence the reason for the added star. I think it’s a hard two, but they made it a three.
P. S. Don’t get the pot roast thing or the sweet & sour chicken, because your stomach will be in for a wild ride.

I think it’s a good Buffett. Food tastes good… and they have a good selection of dessert. I honestly think that the dude that posted the gross pictures is just a pissed off ex employee. The health department wouldn’t let this place stay open if it were this gross.

I recently moved back to Puyallup from Olympia, and this place has really gone downhill. I remember the food always being full of flavor, the salad bar was always my go to… recently my boyfriend and I went and the salad bar was a disaster, eggs in the bacon and beets in the carrots, the dressings not labeled properly.
I got some prime rib cut for me and it was all fat, such a tiny meager slice and when I asked for another slice the worker sighed and acted as if I was disrupting his day.
The mac and cheese is okay. It used to not be so… watery.
All in all I am disappointed and expected better food and service.

This place was terrible! My wife and had dinner there last night 2÷2÷15. Worst place we ever ate! The place was dirty, the buffets were nasty! The food was cold. The staff expected tips for what we have no idea. Never again. It’s not worthy of the one star.

We’ve been here for breakfast and dinner now and I’m pretty impressed.
My sister always picks on me because I like places like this — What she calls «Old People Food».
The food was fresh, though we specifically came at opening for breakfast and right when they were switching to dinner so we could make sure the food was fresh.
There were a lot of options, it was all fresh, tasted good, and the staff was very pleasant.
We did run into a food-​safety issue on ⁰²⁄₁₃ when we were there for dinner, but we brought it to the managers attention (I don’t remember his name) and he took care of it right away.
Overall, very happy with the service we received and I’d recommend it.

Very clean and friendly atmosphere. Food was always stocked and they were never out of anything. Plates were cleared in a timely manner. We went for my moms bday and she had a great time. We all left very full n content.

Once our coupons were used up we went back one more time… as I expected they told me the same thing that prompted the first complaint. «We no longer honor that» … I don’t expect things for free, however I have a stomach the size of ¹⁄₈^th of a cup and honestly allowing me to eat for a kids price doesn’t seem like a big deal. Family of 4. Four adults and 1 eats as a child… does the cost really hurt your bottom line? How about this. because you don’t honor that any longer… my family of 4 won’t eat hear any longer. BOTTOM line that!

The last time I went here, the restaurant was dirty with food all over the floor. They often run out of clean silverware and almost always have the same food each time. What happened to the variety and changing it up? Also… the dessert station is almost always filthy and they don’t put out food fast enough when they run out. I used to love coming here.

The quality and cleanliness of this place has gone way downhill in the past 3 months. The only thing this place is half way descent for is breakfast and that’s only when I’m feeling like a fat ass and I’m craving scrambled eggs with cheese sauce and squared hashbrowns. Used to be a descent establishment, seems they need to take a little more care in the product

This place is so unsanitary and gross. Eat here if you want to get sick! Look at the state of the kitchen! One of my friends was working here, and after walking in to this several times decided to up and leave this disgusting establishment. There are so many violations of the health code going on right now it’s beyond ridiculous!

Its ok, good selection of food here, went on a weekend and got their breakfast buffet, which includes the Omelet bar. Not to impressed with the OJ here, seemed watered down.
