Enjoyed our visit on a whim. Very tasteful décor on the inside, Service was very good. The wife had their roast beef sandwich she said melted in her mouth. I had the strip steak dinner. The soup, potatoes and vegetables were fantastic. The steak was good but not the best I’ve had. It was cooked properly but had a rougher texture and the taste was not what I expected. We will be going back and try something else.

Wish I could give 2 ½ stars. The service was not good. Waitress was not social at all. When asked about a sauce, she stated«it’s a sauce», like what more do you need to know. My fork was dirty. How this happens when somebody wraps them in a napkin, how do you miss it. Had to ask for sweeter for tea. Crab cakes were ok. I will agree they do have a nice flavor. Duck got a fair. Outside seating is pleasant, best part of the night. Dinner come with an average salad, nothing special. One roll each. Decent selection of wine by the glass.

The food is very good. I wish I could love this place, but I can’t because they have a habit of doing«two seatings» to the detriment of people who want to dine in-between those times. For example, if you call for a reservation most nights of the week and ask for a 6:00 — 7:00 table, you will most likely be denied. They will tell you they only have tables available at 5:30 or after 7:30. Many times I have been there at 5:30 and there were a lot of empty tables between then and 7:00. If you like to eat super early or super late, you’ll do fine. Oh, one more thing… sometimes their credit card machine doesn’t work!

The food is good. A little pricey for what your gettin. For Quakertown it’s not a bad spot I like the large chairs at the bar. Staff could b better. They sat me in a small table by the door. Big mistake. They should forget about that seating area. They have outside seating as well I will have to try that. Nothing really stands out on the menu. Nothing special, you’ll have to pick a favorite. I don’t have on

Had driven past this place for literally 25 years on my way to college and subsequent alumni events. Always wanted to stop in, so finally did so for an early New Year’s meal. I love the ambience of old Inn’s and taverns, and this one didn’t disappoint. Exactly what you’d expect from an 1800’s Inn. I ordered the prime rib, and my date had the filet. She choose a salad, which was very good, but I opted for the soup. The soup tasted great, but I think it took me a whole 5 spoons full to finish it. Very small portion. I’ll start with the filet. One word: Outstanding. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the word I’d use to describe my prime rib. To say«tough» would be an understatement. I literally sawed away at it with the less-than-adequate knife I was provided. But I think even with an appropriate utensil, it still would have been difficult to cut. I watched as someone from another party faced the same challenge, so it wasn’t that I ended up with a random tough cut. Vegetables were outstanding also. Service was lacking a bit for a place of this price point(and due to our early reservation during an otherwise busy day, there was no viable excuse for this). As an aside, I love crab cakes, but am always hesitant to order sight-unseen. Then I saw. Someone from an adjacent table had ordered the crab cakes, and let me tell you, they were large and nothing but jumbo lump meat. As I hacked away at my cow, I made a strong mental note to order the crab next time. And cut it with my fork.

My family & I had reservations for Easter dinner yesterday. The entire staff that took care of our table was excellent! Right on top of everything but didn’t hover or make us feel rushed. While our dinner was perfection, only one minor issue: the asparagus could have been just a little softer. Too«crunchy» for our taste. And while the espresso was the real deal, right down to the thin slice of lemon peel, I wish the demi tasse cup it was served in was filled more than ¼ of the cup. The baked ham with cherry sauce, the roasted red potatoes & the garden salad with house dressing was perfection. Best of all was the blueberry cheesecake all of us had for dessert. We were expecting the typical plain cheesecake with glazed blueberries on top. After having the heavenly blueberry cheesecake with the blueberries baked right into the filling, we have been spoiled! I would love to have the chef/pastry chef’s recipe for this. We all look forward to dining here again in the future.

Visited last Sat night to celebrate our twin’s sweet 16 birthdays. Called ahead for candles in their desserts — they remembered, message made it to our waitress, Thank you. The waitress was wonderful, very friendly, and knowledgeable. Husband had one of the dinner specials, a blackened swordfish with shrimp. If he could have, he would have licked his plate. He loved it! Birthday girls, one had ravioli and salad, pink vodka sauce delicious, she loved it and cleared her plate(small plate size), and the other birthday girl had a chicken sandwich(too big to finish, ate half), yummy. I had their brisket, so tender and flavorful. Sides were roasted red potatoes and asparagus, cooked perfectly. Grandmom had shrimp scampi, light on the garlic, which she said was just right, and other daughter had Bethlehem Pike Salad with blackened chicken and the house dressing. Everything was super delicious. Lava cakes for dessert were perfect. Thank you Brick Tavern Inn for a wonderful evening! Was busy, glad we had reservations. Have been here on three previous occasions, and everytime, the food has been delicious. If you can come in the warmer weather and sit outside, it is lovely, warmly lit and a relaxing outdoor atmosphere. Inside is warm and inviting, not too large and not too loud. Overall, a great experience.

Very rustic but also very nice atmosphere and top quality food. They have a wide range of priced items on the menu, you can eat pretty affordably or go all out with some higher priced items if you’re looking for dinner. My only complaint is that the burgers are so amazingly big and full of toppings that it was a bit messy, not a bad problem though! I loved it and will definitely be going back! Great atmosphere, great food, and good service. I give it five stars because it is top quality for the type of restaurant it is.

Had Christmas Eve dinner at 5:30 for a party of 3. Greeted promptly by the wait staff and seated. The interior décor was festive and the restaurant was very comfortable. We were greeted by the waitstaff who were prompt and friendly. We ran down the list of menu additions to an already great menu. Found the menu selections to be favorable to a wide audience. Ordered chicken parm and the cod chef special. Entrees came with soup and or salad, dinner rolls and starch/veggies. Food came out in a timely fashion, was good quality and generous in portion size. Wait staff was attentive on this busy night as well. We would not have changed a thing about our dining experience and would definitely go back. Always good to support a local business.

I went here for a date night and had the Ahi Tuna entrée. I liked the intimate atmosphere of the restaurant. It was very quiet and the staff was very attentive and friendly. My entrée was delicious. Overall a very good experience and would highly recommend to others.

I love eating outside at this place. I always get a sangria when I go, although I find the glasses a little small(too much ice). I love that they cure their own salmon there and I always get the smoked cured salmon salad. Soooo good. And they accommodate my request for olives which don’t come with the salad. My husband gets the hummus salad every time he goes which he really loves. I don’t know about their hot meals, but their salads are awesome!

Honestly, I’m surprised to ever see any less than stellar reviews on this place. I am picky as hell and used to my big city, Michelin-star eating ways and I adore this place. Every time I come back out to ye ol’ hometown area for the past few years, I go to eat here at least once with my mom. As I stated in my original review, I had low expectations and was very pleasantly surprised. For the most part, we’ve gone during quiet, down hours — only maybe twice we went during a peak time — and it’s never let us down. We went again today for my mom’s birthday. I really can’t believe we always get such good seafood stuff here(my very first meal years ago was a monkfish special). Every single time, including today, the service has been wonderful and the food has been absolutely consistent every time. Always delicious. This afternoon was no exception.

Quakertown is a quaint little town that the wife and I finally made time to visit. On our agenda was the Quakertown Farmers market, one additional to –be– named shopping establishment, and a place to eat. After reaching out to the Unilocal community, we decided on The Brick Tavern Inn for our food. Arriving at the destination, we found parking to be more then adequate. It had multiple entrances, plenty of space for my truck, and surrounded the building so the walk wasn’t far. The building is an old-style colonial that is well decorated. Not too much, but enough to make it look inviting. Once through the door, past the lobby, we approached the hostess stand. She was not readily available and wouldn’t be for a few minutes, but I can accept that as a cost of opportunity because she was assisting a much larger group. Once she spotted us and answered her phone, she sat us down at a quiet table in the corner Service was pretty good. Our waiter had done a fantastic job at memorizing the specials of the day, not needing to reference any material. I’d like to go over something at this point, because it is very important to me and plenty of others; beer selection. The beer selection, from the get go, was disappointing. The domestic list was exactly what you’d expect a place to serve in the 90’s, before Microbreweries started gaining popularity like wildfire. The Import list was basically 50% additional domestics, or beer that is more domestic then you or I. This is 2015, please stop counting Labatte Blue and Corona as foreign. They offered four rotating seasons, all of which I was less then excited about. Given that, if beer selection is very important to you then you should heavily consider their meager offerings. Moving onto the appetizer and meal. I left both up to warm bodies not my own. The wife selected battered green beans, while I took the waiters advice and ordered the Chicken Oscar. The beans came out in record time and were very tasty. The Chicken Oscar, however, was a complete let down. To elaborate, let’s break the meal apart: –The Rice; easily the best part. The rice had flavor, was warm but not burnt, and complimented the meal very well. –The Peas; easily the worst part. The snap peas were rubbery, flavorless and a chore to chew. I left half a portion on my plate because I couldn’t choke down any more. I’m not sure how they were prepared, but it tasted like a sauteed in flavorless oil, then dropped onto my plate. –The Chicken; easily the most disappointing part. The feature of the meal, the item in which you order by name, was a huge let down. The chicken itself, presented in three parts, contained one patty with hollandaise sauce, and two bare with the exception of a chunk or two of crab meat. Listen to me here; I am a massive fan of hollandaise sauce and this was bad. This stuff only paired with the snap peas in that they both were bland. I’ve had more impactful hollandaise sauce at truck-stop diners. Not only was it lacking in flavor, but quantity. There was enough for one patty. The other two remained dry. We finished our meal with an Apple and Walnut pie. Cake. Thing. It was more of a cake, baked in a mug, topped with whipped cream. This was actually quite good, and easily the highlight of the meal. Having said plenty on the meal, I want to mention a few other things. –My Waiter, while very polite and soft spoken, forgot my salad entirely. –Our pepper shaker was broken. Guess who got more pepper then he ever wanted when he tried to sprinkle some on his chicken and peas? This guy! –On the way in/out, they have a section with a framed document. It reads something along the lines that they value your opinion. Just grab one of those handy-dandy Customer Comment Cards, fill out your opinion, and you can be entered in a raffle for a shot at a $ 25 card. Sweet! Wait. Wait. No, nevermind. There are no comment cards. None. I checked every drawer in the dresser on which this beautifully framed document rested. Nothing. That’s what Unilocal for, I guess. Finally, I’d like to address price. This place actually has some good deals. My wife’s veggie burger and fries clocked in under $ 9. Unfortunately, the meal I got was $ 22. It was about $ 12 too much. Beer prices were about adequate for draft. Given my elaboration above, I can’t convince myself to give this place any more then 2 stars. Yeah, 2 seems harsh, but in a world where first world problems make front page news, you must expect excellence from an establishment that prides them-self on their history. If you’ve been in business this long, and that Chicken meal was any indication of your culinary prowess, then I can only explain your current score as biased by local devotion. If I were to traverse the area again, I would absolutely consider any other eatery over Brick Tavern Inn. According to Unilocal there may be other, more deserving places that might be up to snuff.

Would give 4 and a half stars if possible. Of the main drag in Quakertown is a historic old inn with great food and an awesome staff. Had the oyster po-boy for lunch and it was the best I ever had. The wife and I agree for dinner its got to be the brisket which i will give 5 stars. Great place, but call ahead for reservations, always busy, a sure sign of good grub.

I picked out this restaurant based on reviews. I wasn’t disappointed. I’m gluten free which proved to be no problem with many options, too. I had the Ahi Tuna which was good, but I would have preferred it more rare. Portions are huge; The smaller plate would have been perfect. No issues with service. In fact I felt that the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful as well.

I met my aunts and uncles and cousins there who live scattered about PA. and this was a central meeting point… was this ever a great choice! Everyone loved their food… I had the French Onion soup, crab cakes with rice pilaf and asparagus. Delicious, those were the best crab cakes I’ve had since going to the Georgia shore last year. Real lump crab meat without the fillers… I tasted my mom’s creole scallop, also delicious… charming atmosphere and very welcoming, professional staff, we’ll be back when passing through again!

Dining outside on a wonderful summer evening on the patio at the Brick Tavern was a true treat. The setting is well maintained, very inviting, and allows visitors to have a dinning experience that is very inviting. The outside patio seems to be in stark contrast to the overall traditional environment inside the Brick Tavern. We were quickly seated for an early Sunday dinner. The waitress explained the specials and took our orders. Overall the service was solid and representative of the overall environment. Our appetizers included soups and salads. These items were prepared as requested. They were fairly standard and straightforward. Although they were nothing to write home about it was nice to have an opening course that is exactly as it was presented in the menu. For an entrée we had everything from burgers, to shrimp scampi. The food was presented well, the preparation was spot on, and each member of my party was pleased with what they received. In the end, our meal at the Brick Tavern was good and I would venture back. However, I think I would wait until next spring or summer to enjoy the patio.

The outside terrace seating area in the back of the restuarant is BEAUTIFUL! fans and shades under the pergola, koi pond make a perfect atmosphere. In the winter there are heaters so you can enjoy a cool night too! The food is always out of this world. I usually get the crab cakes, even the Small plate option(one crab cake), along with the rice and veggie is perfectly filling! Wait staff is excellent as well!
