This place can best be described as «meh». It was completely empty when were eating which was the first red flag. The staff didn’t seem to want to be bothered with us but we did get what we needed. I was hoping for some healthier options but it was all typical diner crap. The actual entrees were fine. The fries and chips sucked. We wont be returning anytime soon especially with Panera down the road.

The food was pretty good. Had the Philly cheese steak, it was decent. The homemade chips were awesome. They bill it as a «café» but they only have regular diner coffee and«cappuccino» out of a gas station style dispensing machine. The staff was surly. She never came back to check on us. I think she was avoiding us because we had a baby with us. It was impossible to get drinks refilled. I finally had to go up to the counter with my glass and ask. Our check was dropped off with no mention of the«pay at the register» policy. We sat there for quite a while before figuring that out. A few of the tables are obviously reserved for staff. The cooks had cellphones charging, drinks, notebooks and coats lying about. All in all, this place is way better that any of the other diners in the area.

After a family funeral, we enjoyed the hospitality and food here! Terry, the owner, felt like our extended family! The tasty leftovers were reminders of the great time we had!

I would rate average for this café… just average. The food was average. The service was average… a little slow for the amount of people there but nothing too outrageous. The place itself was nice enough but again, just average. Depending on the timing it may be a tough entrance/exit as the entryway is on 309. I would not say i would never go back… I didn’t find anything blatantly negative about it but there are many other places i would like to check out before i would come back here.

This place is located in a tough location… we have seen a couple of excellent eateries come and go from this location, mostly because most people have no idea that it is there! The building sits sideways to the street, and sets back, on top of that! So, you really have to be looking for it and making an effort to go there. This place, The Embers, TOTALLY worth that effort. Between the amazing ‘Ember Bun’ for a whopping $ 2, to the magnificent eggs benedict I had, on top of a homemade cheddar cheese biscuit? We were VERY happy with the entire experience, as well as with our server, Betsy, who was attentive, and informative, and funny. We will be back, often. Oh and by the way… it was way too much to eat with the very generous ember bun, AND the eggs benedict(the hollandaise was excellent)…the price was great… and I actually had to wrap half of my breakfast and take it home. Never have done that before in my life! My son did not mind :) It lasted all of 2 minutes once I got it home.

Very average food. Slow service. No better than the local diners. Nice enough people but obvious they don’t have a restaurant pedigree.

In addition to the usual breakfast fare, the Embers offers several unique items to include home made(stuffed) cinnamon buns, Texas Toast, cheese bisquits, and breakfast casseroles. The comments about the food quality from the six of us who recently had breakfast here ranged from«very good» to «okay,» though one in our party considered returning for lunch with a friend the same day. Our server was especially friendly and accomodating. We enjoyed a bit of friendly banter with her during our visit. That being said, our food took a little longer to arrive than expected, possibly because each of our orders were prepared individually. The consensus was the pricing was quite reasonable.

Excellent sticky buns. My wife enjoyed the nut bun while I had the cherry. Both were amazing. I did not want mine to end. I could have ended breakfast on the bun and been very happy! I then went on to enjoy their hallah French toast. Very light and tasty. All of their baked goods are homemade and excellent. I definitely plan on eating here often for breakfast!

The food here was very good. Had the qeusadila one of the best I’ve had. Tried the chicken pot pie and it was delicious. My wife had the tuna sandwich which was exceptional served with homade chips that were the best I ever had. I would definitely eat here again. The service was prompt and courteous amd the wait was normal considering the quality of the food. Prices are fair.

Very gluten friendly! ! In for breakfast today, super friendly service. And they make their own homemade gf bread and baked goodies! They made me french toast. Truly best gf french toast I’ve had! Great breakfast spot for anyone but if you live gf you have to stop in and try the French toast… you will absolutely not believe it’s gf :)

Went here for lunch the other day. Food was okay. Service was a bit slow though. I had the chicken Caesar salad wrap with French fries. The fries were awesome. They came out hot and were of homemade quality. The wrap was good as well. Tasted good. The bathroom had a strange flicker. Made me dizzy in the men’s room. Also the food came out in 20+ minutes with us being the only customers. A bit too long since I had to get back to work soon after the food arrived. Overall the food was okay. A few tweaks and this place can reach the next level.

Food was good quality, if only they followed through with it. Cheese steak… good steak, but cold when served, good quality roll but was stale. French fries were very good and hot, wrap was good. I know everything is made to order, but, there were only 2 tables seated, a total of 4 customers ahead of us and it took at least 35 minutes to get our food. Will try again, maybe they had an off day.

Delicious food, homemade buns, crunchy fresh pickles! Great addition to the slim breakfast/lunch spots in quakertown!
