This is a throw-​back store, it takes you back to a time when soda shops were soda shops and Yes Sir and Yes Mam’ were everyday words. Love this Store.

This place is a time capsule. A walk back in time. A treasure.
There is a lunch counter where ladies serve you stuff like macaroni and tuna salad. And guess what, it tastes like I would imagine food to taste like back then– sort of strange and undesirable. But, I like it. In a weird way, I like it.
I also like the isles of hairnets, old trains, and can openers from 1973. Go see for yourself. And bring your smile.

Park on the street & drop your dime in the meter. Yup, they got those in Quaker town. During the holidays, they cover them up. Won’t cost ya nothin’.

Now, step through the door & smell those onions frying, What? Look to your right & you see the grill and the sit down counter. Those vinyl covered spinning round stools are there so you can get comfy. Set a spell & order yourself some breakfast or a sandwich for lunch. Maybe a cheeseburger. Ice cream sundae for dessert. Yum. Okay, now you’ve got to peel yourself up & start shopping.
That creaking noise you hear? Don’t worry. It’s only the floorboards running through the whole store. Been there for a while. Keep going. Wait, what’s that? Ho ho, back up and take a look see. Well I’ll be. It’s a candy counter where you can buy single Tootsie Pops, Mallo Cups, Sky Bars, Zero Bars, Licorice Whips and oh yeah, you can buy the candy you want in bulk.
