Im done with this salon. I have gone to this salon for quite some time and have had a few issues. 1.) When I first started with this salon in 2011 I went in for the 3rd time to tan. I usually NEVER burn but I like to take it slow until I am able to build a base tan so that I do not burn or peel(usually 9 minutes in a level 1 for the 1st week). When I tan I usually take a mini nap and relax. Well I dozed off in the bed and woke up thinking I had been in there for a really long time(much longer than 9 minutes) When I walked out to the reception area I asked the girl how long she set the bed for? TWENTYMINUTES!!! More than double the time that she should have!!! Sure enough I was burnt! I went in a few days later to talk to someone else about what happened and not only was I burnt but I peeled and missed out on days that I was not able to tan because of it. It just so happened that a male«Owner» was in the salon dropping off supplies while I was there. I spoke directly to him and he apologized for the situation and advised that they would be having a talk with the responsible girl. He also offered to comp me 2FREE Weeks. I began using my comp of the 2 weeks and on the 1st day of week 2 I went in to tan and the girl told me that my time was up. This was the same girl that was there during my discussion with the«owner» so she was very familiar with the situation. I reminded her that I was given 2 weeks NOTONEWEEK. She advised that the«Owner changed his mind» . So after this incident I stayed away for a while, I could not comprehend how unprofessional it was to comp a customer then take it back. There are not many tanning salons in this area and wanted a spray tan so I returned again. 2.) The girls that were in the location stated not to use their spray tan booth at that location but to go to the location on Signal Butte because they had a MUCH better set up. One girl said that she had just come from there that afternoon and did a spray tan before arriving for work at the Power Rd. Location. Being it was going to be my first time I decided to drive the extra 13 miles(I had already driven 11 miles one way to get to the Power rd Location) When arrived at the Signal Butte Location the girl told me the machine was broke down because it needed to be refilled with the tanning mixture. I explained how far I had already driven and that I would wait… she advised«Sorry you will have to come back tomorrow». …I did not go back! Again I returned to the Power Location for regular tanning which was fine. Only issue was driving there on a Saturday to find them closed with no notice on the door why or a «sorry for the inconvenience» and no notice told to me the day before. And when I asked the girl on Monday she didn’t know why but said it should have been posted… it wasn’t! I hadnt really been in a while again and was feeling I REALLY need some color but would like to avoid the UV. Lets try again for a spray tan… 3.) This morning I got up and showered and didn’t put my makeup on for the day cause I was going to go spray tanning. I have an extremely busy work schedule but had it all planned out… I was going to not set any appointments for my day because I was going to take my son to school then do a few things around the house until I could leave to be there at 9am when they open(11 miles one way) I waited around for about 15 minutes extra because I know how it is when your opening a business and people are waiting while your trying to boot computers turn on lights etc. I arrived at 9:20…door is locked and nobody there. Well being that I already drove 11 miles here and It will be 11 miles back… I figured I would just wait around for a little bit. 9:30…still nobody. I called the Signal Butte Location and the girl told me that she was going to call her supervisor no idea why the girl was not there yet. 9:42 I have watched 4 people now walk up to the door attempting to go in to find the doors locked. I called back to the Signal Butte location to see if the girl was able to find out how much longer? She was shocked to hear that still nobody there. She took my number and said she would call her supervisor back and let me know. She called me back to tell me that nobody could get in touch with the girl scheduled to be there. 10:11 I requested that the supervisor call me back because I have waited for almost an hour now… nobody there and 11 more miles back home all for nothing. it is now almost 11:30 and still no call from the supervisor. I am officially DONE with this place! They are a waste of time and money for all the extra trips!

All seems great at first, but then I DARE you to try to cancel or change your membership. It’s SO bad in fact that you’ll find yourself looking for a new location in another city. Heed my warning.

If you are looking for a tanning salon equipped with rude and obnoxiously snobby employees you have found the perfect place! I live across the street from this location and have a membership to the gym next-door. In January I purchased tanning sessions and also referred a friend into the salon(big mistake) My friend to whom I referred had never tanned before and was very fair skinned, which she explained on the forms… Now I went into my bed and she decided to try a double dip.(spray tan and tanning session after) the employee did not explain to her how she was supposed to stand or position her body while in the spray tan nor tell her she was supposed to wipe all the excess spray, not only that but the employee put her in a tanning bed after for 12 mins!!! For someone who has never tanned and is extremely fair skinned you do not put them in a 12 min max bed for the MAX! Needless to say, my friend never returned and called out of work the following day due to her severe burn. My experience is far worse then that. In January I started tanning, during the month of February I went in, was assigned to room 1. Ready to jump into my bed, and found not one but two dirty bed cleaning towels laying on the bed! It was disgusting! Black and brown covered in oil and lotion. I went to tell the girls, and when I showed them the bed, they informed me the bed had been cleaned but they forgot the towels. It’s fine, they said. I asked them to clean the bed again. They weren’t happy. After that I canceled my membership. There was no reason for me to stay. Months go by and I am preparing for my wedding I decide to give the store a call and see if they still have the lotion I paid $ 80 for and never used. I call and girl informs me they throw out lotions every 6 months and they’ll check to see if mine is still there. She begins to tell me that I had a balance on account for over $ 100. I didn’t understand, I had canceled my membership months ago. I was never informed of a balance. She then said she’d call her manager and see what She could do. Hours later I reeve a phone call, the girl said her manager told her I could have my lotion, but after I pay $ 147! I was furious. Needless to say, after trying to explain how I paid the $ 50 to cancel the employee hung up on me three times. The final time I called I informed her I would call the police and her behavior was completely unprofessional. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced! The company should be embarrassed of themselves allowing their teenage employees to treat people this way. I would never recommend this salon or any other Fahrenheit Tanning to ANY one.

What lives in 360 days of sun, has two thumbs and recently paid for a month of unlimited tanning? This guy! Yes, it sounds crazy for someone who lives in an area with over 30 days of 100+ degree temperatures and endless sun to pay for tanning — but recently I learned of an upcoming high school reunion(actually my 21st)…and my former classmates know I have lived in Arizona for 5 years — I cannot return to Ohio looking like Casper the Friendly Ghost. Could I lay out in the sun? Trust me — you don’t want to see this naked. I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly. So where can I pasty white fat guy go to get some color? Fahrenheit Tanning, that’s where. It is conveniently located in the parking lot with my gym, so it makes it easy to take advantage of the unlimited sessions. A side benefit is laying in the bed gets my muscles warm and ready to go before hitting the gym. There are multiple levels to chose from, each with a different price. I chose the level 1 bed. You might want the 2 or 3 depending on your needs. They also have specials, such as one free week if you purchase a two week unlimited package, or the one I received — two free weeks with the purchase of a one month package. For those who want to commit to at least 6 months, there is a VIP package that provides about a 50% savings over the other options. The unlimited one month package on a level 1 bed cost $ 49. There is a little tax to that and an upcoming surcharge thanks to the Healthcare bill, but for length of time I need it, it provides a good deal. The store is staffed with friendly workers who were able to answer all of my questions. It is easy to get started with a membership. The rooms are spacious and clean. The fan & radio make it a nice time. Hopefully over the next couple of weeks Fahrenheit Tanning will help turn this Stay Puft Marshmallow Man into a toasty s’more. If you want some color but don’t want to lay out in the hot Sonoran sun, give Fahrenheit a shot.
