YMCA Copper Basin

Joined primarily for use of outdoor heated Jacuzzi. Bees kept landing in a fresh water cup about one foot from edge of Jacuzzi. After several members said they attempted to let management know about the problem, I spoke with the member service supervisor several times. Their answer to the problem was to place a orange street cone over the fresh water cup and explain they cannot control wild life. We dropped our membership as a result of the lack of adequate handling of this potentially dangerous situation.

Small facility, disrespectful staff. Nothing for
Kids. Horrible experience with aquatics staff, swim lessons and lifeguards. This facility needs new management! We live in copper basin and a portion of our HOA pays for our aquatic membership which we now never use. I’m hopeful that the HOA and the copper basin ymca will not be partnering much longer so my monthly dues could go towards something my family could benefit from. I drive my kids to swim team and swim lessons at another facility because this place is a joke.

Family and I got a weekly pass while visiting family locally. Though the facility is smaller than ones I am use to in major metropolitan areas, it is new, clean and staff was extremely professional and friendly. I highly recommend.

I live in the area and have been disappointed overall with the YMCA. The pool is small and is not very family friendly, the life guards are disrespectful and unprofessional. They do offer some good classes and the teachers are knowledgeable and good at what they do. The day care center is pathetic and the attendants are almost as careless as the children they are caring for. I travel to a different pool and gym instead of taking advantage of the facility 2 blocks from my home.

It would be nice to look up «copper basin YMCA» and actually get to talk to someone there instead of getting a call center. why!!!
we had a family membership there once, it was average.
now we just have a program membership for our daughter to take swim lessons, well we signed her up, show up for 1^st lesson, nobody there, they finally find out the class was cancelled due to low enrollment, HEY THANKS FOR CALLING US SO WE DIDNT WASTE OUR TIME OR GET OUR DAUGHTERS HOPES UP! long story short, this happened again after we picked a 2^nd class!!! So this time I went off on them & told them they better call us if a class in cancelled, what the hell do u take down my contact info for?! Mandy, the instructor is good, but the rest of the staff at the desk R clueless idiots, and when u call with any questions they refer u to aquatics instructor «zack» who’s never available & never returns calls when u leave a voicemail, ever!
and ANNIE P… I just wanted to say to u, whats christian about a swimming pool or a treadmill or rock climbing? get a grip, go to a church if u want a church! and your rape kit comment is the most ignorant thing Ive ever read, get a clue.

Went and visited this place today to see if I wanted a membership there… the gym is clean, staff appeared friendly, classes seem cool, and the weights are plenty. There is a $ 100 fee up front and then for a family plan it is $ 77 bucks a month. You can get military discounts if this applies to you which brings this amount down even more. This includes kid care and utilization of everything here, even their pool. I got three free passes to try it out before I commit but chances are I’m gonna do it. Definitely better alternative to 24 hr fitness and snap fitness in San tan and queen creek.

If you want a gym you are gossiped about, this IS the place for u…
If you want a gym were employees are bullied by management, this is a place to call your home gym.
If you want a place that allows its employees to be sexually harassed and does nothing to help the employees, u will feel right at home.
If you want people with no real education, or degree running departments… U FOUND IT.
If you want a place that says its a «christian» org. but stands for everything a christian should not do, man did you find the right gym…
This ymca is like nothing ive ever seen. members, and employees are bullied out for taking a stand for what is morally right why corp. ymca of arizona does nothing to help the staff or members. !!! shamefull!!!
IF YOU WANT A GYM WERE YOU WILL BE ABUSED… JOIN THE COPPER BASIN YMCA AND enjoy the roller coaster…
