I would give this 0 stars if I could. I went in to find a table at about 5.30pm on a Monday and it was a hot mess, despite not being crazy busy(about 4 empty tables). There was no one to ask, so I went to the bar and had a look at the menu above it. After waiting about 5 mins, a waiter came over and told me to wait outside. I did so, and was then taken to a dirty table about another 5 mins later. He handed me a menu and walked off. I waited 10 mins for someone to come take my order, and ended up having to flag him down. Ordered, then waited. And waited. I started getting concerned when 20 mins after placing my order, I hadn’t yet seen my waiter(as by then, I only had 15 mins until boarding), or been asked if I wanted a drink(which I did). I then managed to flag him down to ask if I could get it to take away instead and only got out ‘Excuse me.’ before he barked out that he would check on my order. He came back a few minutes later and I quickly asked him for the cheque and a takeaway box before he could disappear again. Then I realised that both my fries and burger were cold. Great. I tried to flag down my waiter again, but no luck, and I ended up just leaving my food and walking out as boarding had started for my flight. I ended up stopping at one of the little shops and grabbing some snacks instead of dinner.

Really bland burger… would rather eat airplane food. Eat anywhere else, except for here! The service is pretty bad too, it wasn’t even that busy and it was still hard to get the server’s attention.

It was probably the worst service I’ve ever had. I just wanted one glass of wine, not even food, and I got stuck there for over an hour. The waiter flat out did not know what he was doing. After he delivered my drink, he never returned to the table. The hostess could not help me even though I asked multiple times. Avoid this place unless you’ve got 2 hours to spare before a flight!

DESERVESNEGATIVESTARS. Worst place imaginable. There was nothing else to choose from at LaGuardia Airport so decided to go to Metro Burger Bar. It’s a Burger place, what can go wrong — almost everything. I guess since it’s still considered«fast-food» that the service was shit. They didn’t really care about us once we sat down. Came back in 5 – 10 minutes to see our order and waitress seemed like she hated her job. She mumbled her responses and was rude when we asked questions. We ordered the Metro burger and chicken sandwich. Mistakes has been made. The Metro burger bun was cold, the burger itself was meh. The chicken burger… the chicken was the size of 3 fingers and it was so stiff I couldn’t chew it. The fries was okay but honestly, if they messed up fries, this deserves a million face palm. I went up to pay and the lady didn’t even say anything or ask anything. She just took her sweet time to stand there and punch in other people’s order while I stand there. She didn’t say anything, placed the receipt on the table and went on her way. This restaurant was just sad.

Ate here before getting on my flight, and I wish I didn’t. The burger wasn’t that good and extremely disappointing. Service wasn’t very good either. I’d rather just have bought a bag of chips or something from the vending machine than eat here!

I ate at Metro Burger en route at LGA before running to catch a flight to Miami. The burger was better than expected and my server was very friendly. I forgot my receipt, which is a huge faux pas for my employer as we need to have receipts for everything purchased on the expense account. When I got back to LGA after my trip, I was lucky to run into Justin Evans, who is a manager. I was only able to provide a vague time and estimate for the purchase; however, Justin searched the system high and low for my order so that he could email me an invoice. The first receipt was not the correct ticket, but he went back and searched until he found the right one. I was astonished by how great his customer service was. I feel compelled to write this review to give Justin and Metro Burger my highest recommendation. Excellent service that went above and well beyond my expecations. Thanks Justin and Metro Burger!

«About face and leave» isn’t the welcome you’d expect from a hostess, but this is indeed the contempt and rudeness they extend to you. Get a drink from the small stores near the gates instead. Worst bar in any airport I have ever visited. Avoid.

Brief wait to get seated. Staff worked hard to work through guests waiting and get me a table quickly. Server was courteous. Food arrived quickly, cooked right, and tasted great. Only complaint is a/c in back of restaurant not working so it was a little warm. Will eat here again next time in Laguardia.

This place is horrible. Took 15 minutes to get my drink. The AC is not working. Took 10 minutes just to get my order and my food. Took 30 minutes. So if coming for a quick lunch not your place. Also if this say it is a Metro Bar only the bar has TV’s and even the music was annoying. Then to top it off the server spilled some of the salad with dressing on my lap. Great! Truly awful!

I don’t get the other reviews — it was FABULOUS! This was our first time flying Jetblue out of La Guardia and if I can avoid it I’ll never do it again — the terminal is a complete dump(particularly compared to JFK). That said… The Metro Burger Bar was a welcome oasis in all the nastiness. All the flights were delayed due to weather and there was a stack of people waiting to get in — but the hostess was completely on top of things keeping track of waiting parties and seats about to open up. And perhaps most important of all, keeping people from just wandering in and claiming a seat all on their own. Once we were seated the server delivered waters and menus and swiftly thereafter we had drinks in hand. And our food came not too much longer after that. The burgers were great(and properly cooked to our rare and medium rare preferences). The fries were great, the beers were great, the shakes were great, and we even got a free guacamole when our waitress noticed we had gone empty.

Airport food is getting better these days(JFK has not one, but TWO Shake Shacks!). Sadly, gustatory gentrification has yet to hit LGA and it’s evident with this here Metro Burger Bar. It’s almost hard not to blame them for having a mediocre product, it’s the only place in the terminal to get hot food and a cocktail. If you’re flying Air Canada, this is your only option. Take it or leave it, pal. Not sure if the chef missed an important ingredient of the poutine recipe faxed down from Poutine HQ in the Northeastern provinces of Canada, but nowhere have I ever seen cheddar cheese in place of cheese curds in my French fry and gravy comfort food concoction. If it were a fun twist on a classic Canadian favorite that’d be one thing, but it was just odd and off putting. But again — it’s the only place to grab a bite and a drink before boarding your flight, so kick rocks if you don’t like it. The service was also a bit weird. Friendly, but aloof and slow for an airport bar. They’ve gotta be aware that most people have tight deadlines, so perhaps a little pep in their step would improve the experience. I had enough time to get to my boarding lane, but any traveler with less time could have missed their flight. Might have been a one off fumble on their part, but it’s worth noting.

We had a very early flight. As I cannot eat wheat and I wanted something more than fruit to fill me for a long day of flying, we were unable to have breakfast at the pastry shop across the row. The doors were wide open, with the menu placed outside and music blasting by 4:30 am. We walked in, walked past a fellow and sat down. A few minutes later the fellow we walked past informed us they did not open until 5 am(he could not tell us that when we entered?) and asked us to leave. We left and came back. The cook told us there was no breakfast until 7 am, but the waitress brought us a menu and looked confused when we asked if breakfast was indeed being served or if it was at 7 am as the cook had told us. She seemed a bit put out that there were customers when she arrived for her 5 am shift. We felt a bit unwanted and uncomfortable. I ordered the Eggs Any Way with sausage and breakfast potatoes. The ‘breakfast potatoes’ were tater tots and there was one over cooked peppery sausage cut in half. The eggs were ok, but not worth the $ 11 for the rest of the unpleasant food. My husband’s coffee was watered down and by far the worst he has ever had. I do not normally write bad reviews. But this one deserves it. Stay. Far. Away.

The food is good, but my waitress(Karen m with id of 206) was terrible. Her other tables are having issues with her too as I’ve seen more than one person get up, seek her out, and either ask for water or the check or menus. She was not busy each of these times and was just standing talking with coworkers. Here are some highlights from my experience: — she has barely talked to me at all — each time I have flagged her down she has walked over with a blank face and just stands next to my table(again barely talking or responding to me) — I had to flag her down for menus, water, and check — she never checked in on my table I’m writing this in hopes that management solves this issue.

There’s only 2 places to sit down and have dinner in the JetBlue terminal and this is one Of those. They are short staffed. We were a seated and waited 10 mins for the waitress/hostess to come take our order. It’s a burger place but they ran out of burger buns. No problem you want a shell salad they also ran out of shells. So you either spent your flight hungry or eating something warm but subpar. I’ll be hungry.

Do not come here if you are in any rush to get your plane. We were here on Easter Sunday, the place was dead and the service was slow. I have been here when it was packed during the week and the service was slow. Even after the food was served & we ate, it took ages to get our check after we asked for it you think there would be a greater sense of urgency in an airport! This is the only sit down/server staffed place past security in this terminal. If you want sandwiches, soup, baked goods to go there is an Au Bön Pain across the way. There are a few tables there as well. The burgers here run about $ 12 – 14 and come with fries. I had the Farmhouse which came with Canadian bacon(looked like ham) and a fried egg(was over cooked & not runny at all). I ordered the burger medium and it was very well done. My 9 year old loved his Texas Toast Burger with BBQ sauce, cole slaw, & cheese on texas toast Fries were hot & tasty. What can I say? Overpriced, adequate food. My suggestion? Eat before you get to the airport or bring food with you if possible!

Airport food doesn’t have to be boring and Metro Burger Bar does a nice job at giving you a good meal behind the security check point. My co-worker and I visited during their breakfast hours and were impressed with their selection. Of course I had to have the breakfast burger which is a traditional burger with a fried egg and bacon. It was very tasty — but slightly overcooked. What was the a real surprise was their potato home fries — they looked OK, but tasted fantastic. I normally don’t finish my sides at breakfast — but these suckers were good and gone. The service was decent too. I’ll swing back by again.

Stopped here for a quick bite before our flight out of LGA. It’s the only real sit down restaurant in the terminal after you go through security. You’ll need at least 45 minutes if you plan on grabbing some food/drinks at this place. We were hoping to grab a seat the bar, but the hostess told us there were no open spots. After a short wait, two people left the bar, and just as we were about to grab our bags, someone further back in line swooped in and took one of the bar seats. All this happened right under the nose of the hostess. Despite all the mumbling in line about how someone had pushed past many people that had been waiting for quite a while, the hostess didn’t react in any way. Thankfully, a number of tables opened up 5 minutes later. Metro burger bar is pretty good for airport food. I believe it was around $ 9 for the veggie burger, which had a patty made of various grains topped with black beans and a slightly spicy guacamole. The fries were nice and crispy, and I ended up packing those to bring with me on the plane. Unfortunately, the beers were not as good of a deal. Around $ 10 or $ 11 each, and the prices are not listed on the menu. They do have a good selection on tap though, and I really liked the brown ale I ordered.

Farely plebian offerings given the Pat la Frieda meat moniker. Uneven service and some tables too close to the heat of the kitchen. Since there isn’t anywhere else in that section of LGA to sit with a drink, the venue fills up and last on the line has to sit and swelter in that beat spot.

The Place One of the nicer /better culinary offerings in LaGuardia Airport. Pretty spacious, round tables, brightly lit, has a sports bar with TVs across major channels, and service is decent. The Farmhouse Burger An ok burger. Fried egg was still a little runny on the inside and provided for a nice surprise. The patty was ok, nothing to scream about, bun is mediocre, fries were standard. For $ 14, a little expensive but who am I kidding, I’m at an airport. Silverware is plastic afterall, but not a terrible place to stop in for a quick bite if you’re feeling burgers.
