I worked here for a month after trying a few places in Manhattan. QNS the right combination of work environment and features. Excellent Wi-Fi, the conference room availability was great, generous conference room hours included with the monthly rate, friendly people. What really set them apart though was so simple: phone booths. These are three small rooms about the size of a payphone both from the last century. Of course there is no phone in there, you use your cell phone. There’s a seat and a shelf that can accommodate a computer. Anyway, they serve the dual purpose of keeping your conversations private while not disturbing the people around you. QNS is a great coworking space.

QNS Collective is an awesome place to work, it’s spacious, with lots of desks, to share or personal, a good number of great people share the office, the amenities are really nice, the all-you-can-use meeting rooms and the bottomless coffee pot won me over, it’s perfect to live in Astoria!

Last fall I was looking for a coworking space since I had just started working remotely in a new job. I live in Queens, and I needed a place that was affordable with reliable cell and wi-fi. I checked out two other places in Manhattan, but as soon as I came by QNS for a complimentary free workday, I knew it I found the right place. The owner, Argentina Flores is friendly, helpful, and available. It has fast wifi, reliable cell service, and it’s only a block from the R & M train. Not only do I save $ 100+ in membership costs compared to Manhattan spaces, I also save money by walking to work. The space is clean, bright, and spacious – it’s a converted warehouse that now has an art gallery feel. There is tons of natural light, which has really helped boost my mood during these winter months! The communal kitchen is great too with free coffee, espresso, tea, etc. I end up meeting a lot of the other members in the kitchen during coffee breaks and lunch. I’ve met a ton of great people here working in a wide variety of fields, ranging from artists to web designers to accountants to IT folks. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a coworking or meeting space that is affordable, friendly, and spacious.

I signed up last week for the monthly membership and I’m very happy so far with my decision! I have been bouncing between coffee shops in Queens for a very long time to get my work done and it’s been a nightmare. I’m so excited that a coworking space finally opened up in Queens – LIC /Astoria is close enough for me even though I live in the Forest Hills /Rego Park area. Anyway, the space is very nicely designed which helps me to concentrate and work on growing my business. Esthetics are important to me and I’m happy with the layout, the chairs are comfortable, the coffee is good(I’m picky about that) and the internet is fast. There is a good amount of green plants around to warm up the area and a lounge area with couches for when I need to move around and sit somewhere other than a desk because I tend to get antsy when sitting for hours at a time. Although I usually drive, the space is right near the subway and would only take me about 20 min to commute from home so I’m happy with the location. When I want a snack or lunch, there is a good Venezuelan arepa place nearby and Coffeed is around the corner. Then I go for a yoga class at the Yoga Room a few blocks away. Life is good.
