Staying at a hotel nearby and was looking for a place to have a couple drinks to drown my sorrows, well came in and ordered a drink. The atmosphere is great, wasn’t to busy, and the bartender hooked up my drinks! To my surprise, myself and the other 4 patrons were given half a sandwich for free! Now, I’m all about free food, and I know you get what you«pay» for, but this sandwich was really good, perfect blend of spice, crunch, meat and Mexico! Will definitely be back!

Wow. This place is a freaking gem. Stumbled in here to get a drink before going to a restaurant in the area. First off the bartenders working here are absolutely beautiful. The vibe is awesome and they play a great mix of Spanish and American Hits. Also there was a huge plate of paella at theb ar which we were urged to help ourselves too. They also offered a us a free glass of Sangria. All this after only purchasing a beer. What more can you ask for?

I’m a fan of this place, but don’t want it’s rating too high for fear all the reasons why I’m a fan of it will be gone. Specifically, this is the most authentic Spanish bar I’ve found in Astoria. I haven’t had more than a few beers here, but LOVE the vibe – definitely feels off-the-beaten path despite being steps from the subway. Prices aren’t quite south of the border, but they’re also not Manhattanesque. They have karaōke on the weekends and free paella on Fridays. Definitely worth checking out, but don’t tell your friends!
