Legit bagels. They can make a good breakfast sandwich. Prices are good. Styrofoam plates and cups are really tacky. Coffee is very bad.

On our way up north we stopped here for breakfast. It’s a simple, solid staple of this community with a line nearly out the door on a Saturday morning but the line moved very quickly. We were in and out within 10 min. They offer bagels of every flavor along with your favorite cream cheese. We opted for a sweet and savory sampling. The egg, sausage, and cheese on a roll. It was simple, hot, and delicious though a little flat and two-dimensional for me. What it lacked in optics it made up in taste. We then got an apple cinnamon toasted bagel with cinnamon raisin cream cheese. Super yummy. Enough said. Other highlights include the huge parking lot, outdoor seating and bagel chips. Stop by if you’re in town.

We just stopped here. I am Not a cream cheese fan though. I ordered a lox on everything bagel toasted. It was very good. And the lox are a good quality .The price was a little steep though for the amount of lox provided on bagel. It has an all American diner sort of feel. Except it’s a bagel place.

This shop has a nice product, but the staffing of almost entirely mindless, ditzy kids without the supervision of the owners is really not a good call on their part. There was a line out the door and those kids were standing around as if they couldn’t see all the customers waiting. When I asked for a dozen bagels the girl looked at me like I had 10 heads and stood there staring blankly at me? I had to point to the display case and say, I’ll point to what I want, before she snapped out of it and went to fill my order. I asked for a ½ lb of lox and was given thick slices, not separated by wax paper, but placed literally in a ball in plastic wrap. I received better service at the dunkin donuts down the road staffed by senior citizens that moved more quickly than these girls! I’d rather go to price chopper than deal with those nit wits again! customer service should be at the top of their priority list, but clearly is left in very incapable hands.

The woman with the long black hair jumped into take my order, but was haphazard and kept interrupting anything I said. My order totaled $ 15.00, but from her complete and absolute attitude, I lost my appetite. My daughter ate hers, and she liked the food. The woman, I believe, is the owner. SMH.

I am giving this shop two stars because I left very unimpressed. Once you walk in you see that the place is staffed almost all by high school girls. This is nice for the local youth but the experience has much to be desired. I was unable to get help understanding the contradictory menu pricing. This shop is known for their bagels with lox, however $ 10 for a single bagel with lox is completely ridiculous. Even the $ 5 version without strips of salmon i still felt ripped off. I am pretty sure I was overcharged by the cashier.

On our way to Montréal, we picked up some bagels and cream cheese from here thanks to the Unilocal reviews. We ordered the multi-everything bagel with lox spread, and sun-dried tomato with maple walnut cream cheese. The flakes of fish in the cream cheese was infused with awesome smoked salmon flavor, without the over indulgence on the real slices of fish. The maple walnut cream cheese reminded me of maple syrup, but it was worth a try since it looked like it was the most popular out of their cream cheese selection. If you’re okay with putting the cream cheese on the bagels yourself, it’s cheaper to order the bagel($ 0.75 each) and a quarter pound of your cream cheese selection(~$ 2ish?)

Best bagels in the area. I’ll have an everything please. They sell bagels to some other local stores as well, where I more frequently obtain them as Lox of Bagels is located in a place that’s only convenient to people leaving town. Service is a bit of a mixed bag, but when you are the only place in town that makes decent bagels people will put up with that.

Ignorance is very much alive and well, rude owner who was yelling at me and my friend when his employee got my order wrong and was asked to fix it. I definitely would not return there and would tell anyone I meet never to go there.

Best bagels and cream cheese in the area, bar none. You pay a bit more than you would elsewhere, but for bagels that melt in your mouth and rich, homemade cream cheese, it’s more than worth it. Their cream cheese comes in a variety of flavors and they have an assortment of baked goods if you’re in the mood for something other than a bagel. Highly recommended!

Not only are their bagels the best We have ever had, the service is excellent. The staff members are very hard working and it is spotless. We are very lucky to have this fantastic shop in our community. Thank you to the owners and staff members for a great experience.

Had an egg and bagel sandwich to start the day. they make everything right in front of you, so you know everything’s clean. The sesame seed bagel I had was loaded with sesame seeds just the way I like it. the two girls that were working were pleasant. I will return

I am a local and have been going to lox for awhile now. I do agree that they have the best bagels and cream cheese around. The employees are the rudest people I have ever encountered! They are mostly a pile of young high school girls and the older ones they have are just as if not more rude. They roll there eyes if you can’t decide on the spot what you want. I actually left this post pending, because I wanted to give them another shot. When I went in I honestly havent gotten such rude service by someone in a long time. I have decided i will no long be giving this place my business. I hope the owner reads this too, because hes just as much of a pompous ass as the rest of them.

Believe me when I admit that I have never had a bagel and lox. I was feeling adventurous so I ordered one. This bagel was heavenly! I really could not believe that I have never discovered this treat. Can’t wait to revisit on my way back to Albany.

A «must stop» when I’m in the area… delicious bagels and cream cheese. Pretty standard flavors, but the bagels are all chewy and fresh. Huge cream cheese selection. If you don’t like your cream cheese oozing off the bagel, be sure to specific easy on the cream cheese. Awesome breakfast sandwiches; they also have lunch stuff — deli meat, salads, etc.

We stopped here for breakfast on our way up to Montréal. They had a few different bagels I had never heard of before — diet bagels and energy bagels, for instance. I had a classic egg, bacon and cheese on a whole wheat bagel. The sandwich was absolutely perfect except that the bagel wasn’t toasted enough(at all?) so it was really squishy and not crunchy at all. Too bad because I think those bagels looked delish!

«Lox of Cream Cheese» by Josh K. In order to get a full day’s hike in when driving from Albany to the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks, you have to leave real early. The day bags are packed the night before, the car loaded up. When the early hours of the AM arrive, straight to the Northway we go. As such, when driving up I-87, the hunger pangs strike viciously and relentlessly. Breakfast must be had. Strangely, but luckily for us, right off exit 18, in an area one would not think to find Big Apple authenticity, one can load up hiking strength on delicious, homemade New York City style bagels and irresistibly tasty cream cheese spreads. Before we knew of Lox of Bagels, we were forced to partake in a stale or soggy egg sandwich at Stewart’s. Now that we know better, we can be replenished with a true Bagel and a fine cup of Joe. Some say these are the best bagels in the North Country. I argue that these are the best bagels North and West of the Hudson Valley. The bagels are made in house. More importantly, they have that perfect medium between chewiness and softness, with that proper pull that is customary of a good, firm metro area Bagel. What makes Lox of Bagels and Moor even better is that they have a plethora of traditional and creatively flavored cream cheese spreads made in house. For the old-timers and non– gentiles alike, Whitefish is also an option. But the real star of the Bagel shop is their homemade Lox Spread; heavy on the fish flavor, but amazingly creamy and free of chunky shreds. Put that yummy spread on an Everything bagel and top it all off with a tomato, onion, and a few capers, and a real downstate treat is on-hand in the North. I am regretful that I hadn’t known about this place in previous Adirondack hiking trips of years past, but that regret is instantly changed to thankfulness. Thank you Lox of Bagels and Moor for existing, you are a real gem at the foothills to the North Country.
