Had a group event here with a group of mostly novices. The staff was friendly, helpful and encouraging. The course was fun and offered a good variety of targets. I had a total blast, would recommend and will definitely be back. Special thanks to Mike who gave us great tips so that we really improved our accuracy. I’m hooked.

Our group recently did the Cast & Blast (clay pigeon shooting and a 4 hour fishing charter run by Lead Dog, an outfit friendly with Pintail). It all was a great time. Our shooting guide was helpful and chill. The fishing charter was on a nice 50′ Evans. The captain was a bit surly, but seemed to know his business. The mate was very helpful and mate-​like. They didn’t have much luck putting on the fish, but that could have been the luck of the draw rather than their know how; hard to say.

Had better days, it seemed that most of the traps were showing «OFF» in the launch boxes, we could not seem to get the traps/​birds to fly? The staff provided me with another box to launch the clays and that one did the same thing? I hope that our next trip will be better, so yes I’ll try them again in the fall.

I have been visiting Pintail Point for almost 20 years both hunting whitetail deer and shooting sporting clays. With that being said, I hope the new ownership keeps developing the property.
I recently visited during the Outback Clay Classic (my 10th visit) and it was a great time. The event supports the pediatric oncology division at Johns Hopkins Hospital and both Pintail Point staff members and Outback staff go out of there way to make sure everyone has a great time.
If you have never been out to shoot sporting clays, Pintail Point is a great place to start. The staff is both knowledgeable and courteous and will work with both novices and those with years of experience.

Had a group outing on their clay pigeon course… had a great time… all of the employees were fantastic, especially to a group had who never really shot before… highly recommended…
