These people who run this apartment complex are CROOKS. What a shiesty company! Do not live here, as their staff does not give a single s***t about you. After moving out, my roommates and I were expecting to get our security deposit back. We meticulously cleaned the entire apartment, getting it ready for the walk through. My roommates and I are girls, and in no way treated the apartment like a pig stye. We had no pets and cleaned regularly. There was routine, minimal damage to walls because of holes from our pictures and paintings, all of which we covered with spackle. With any of the other apartments I’ve formerly lived in, these repairs are par for the course, and as long as the apartment is clean and doesn’t have any major damage, the company takes over from there, and gives you your entire security deposit back. Well, this isn’t the case at 500 Falls. Upon not receiving any sort of deposit check from them after a month, I called to see what was up. They had written my forwarding address down wrong, and sent the check elsewhere. She informed me that she would put a stop on the check and correct the address, and send another one. After not receiving the second check for over another month, I called again to see what was going on. This time I was rudely informed that the check was for $ 17(out of the original $ 500), and that they address they had on file was STILL wrong. Apparently, they had used almost our entire deposit doing routine cleaning that every other rental company pays for themselves. They claimed that there was a «pet smell» in our apartment and that the oven was«trashed.» Also, their carpet cleaning cost us $ 150, and the other charges were baseless, and false. Since then, we have tried in vain to get our money back and have only been met with legal intimidation and resistance. If you live here, you security deposit is NOT a deposit, it’s a fee that their greedy company charges when you move out. DONOTLIVEHERE.
