I ate here last Saturday night after a friend had suggested it, and had a great meal. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast. The food was really fresh and honestly some of the best Maki I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back. Awesome restaurant.

The first time I came here I didn’t even eat because no one came to my table for a good 10 minutes, no water or anything. So I walked out. Second time, I actually got to sit down. I came for the half off Sushi Sunday and it was alright. For promotions like this I don’t expect the best service because it’s going to be busy. Needless to say, service was not surprising to me. Took 15 minutes to finally order and waited 30 – 45 minutes for our food to arrive, what ever I didn’t mind this time because I saw it coming. I don’t recall the names of the sushi rolls that I ordered but it was pretty good sushi. I honestly would come again for the taste. presentation was mediocre and service was subpar but since the sushi was tasty and cheap, I would come back. For experience and service I would prefer Fuji at Assembly.

Love this place! The manager David sat us down right away. We had so much delicious sushi we could explode! I highly recommend the special salmon roll… it melts in your mouth! I need to come here more often.

TERRIBLE service. Cranky bartenders. Mediocre food, at best. So many better sushi options in Quincy. I wouldn’t waste your money or time. Fried apps were super oily and bland and sushi was not fresh.

Sushi was excellent. The rest of the food good. Service was atrocious. I had to leave the table to search for our waitress. Twice. The loud obnoxious crew that came in and sat at the bar near us was egged on rather than calmed by the staff. Very disappointed after a promising start. I might give then one more try.

This is my third time coming here, and every single time it has been an ORDEAL during my dine-in experience. I’m currently typing this as I sit… Waiting for my food(a sushi roll and an appetizer, to be exact) … For about an hour now. Honestly, if the sushi rolls weren’t so good, we would have left !! I just wanted the world to know how crazy the wait is. If you plan on coming here, be prepared to wait 2x longer than expected for food. The rolls are great, but I suggest ordering ahead for pick up.

DONOTEATHERE! Terrible !! I ordered a Salad it came with vinaigrette dressing I have never been to a Japanese restaurant with vinaigrette dressing my sister received a green tomato one piece of broccoli and a small handful of lettuce it was awful I also ordered a few rolls of sushi crispy salmon avocado an avocado roll and a caterpillar roll it was honestly the smallest most disgusting sushi I’ve ever had the avocado is brown the race was falling apart there was really nothing in the sushi tiny slivers of eel when you spend $ 40 on a dinner you definitely expect somewhat satisfactory this was anything but the waitress was very pleasant but I should have known when I walked in there it was absolutely empty the food made me sick do not eat here it is the worst sushi I’ve ever had take a look at the photos it is appalling!!!

I normally don’t write a review immediately upon leaving a restaurant BUT I feel that I must warn any sushi lovers to proceed with caution. Both my sister and I feel sick, probably from the fish that was left out plopped on the counter and not refrigerated. The food that was served to our table looked like it belonged in a run down tavern! Who serves sushi with brown avocado and a Japanese salad featuring see through green tomatoes/vinaigrette dressing? The answer is a low quality establishment that hopefully has expectations of ZERO repeat business. Aside from the atrocious flavor and chewy spoiled fish the sushi itself was small and poorly made, I seriously wouldn’t eat here for free. I am personally offended by the food that was brought to my table, this food was the ultimate definition of unsatisfactory. FUJI should be shut down until they get their act together. NOTETOMANAGEMENT: If a customer returns something saying it doesn’t taste right you should always come out and talk to your guests instead of charging them for half. CUSTOMERSERVICE101– I should have been reimbursed 100% for this meal that left me physically sick and disgusted. I deserve an apology from the chef/owner himself, even though the waitress was very nice it is not her duty to stand behind the food.

Their sushi is pretty good and got me addicted to Salmon wonton chips! I haven’t dined in here over 6 years because of the poor customer service from host/hostess. I have occasionally do take out from here. I’m going to try Kagawa next door tonight hope I find good food with good service.

Cute date night place. Went here with my boyfriend to use a groupon that we had. We ordered SOMUCH food and it was still very cheap. The portion sizes were very generous and the service was pleasant. I would recommend getting the Fuji salad. We ordered it as an appetizer thinking that it would be a small dish to tide us over until the main course, but turns out it is MASSIVE. A delightful surprise was that it comes with a full seaweed salad on top, and I’m convinced that the Fuji, which comes with lettuce, tomatoes, broccoli, cucumber and seaweed salad, is a better deal than a regular seaweed salad(Fuji salad is $ 4.50 and seaweed salad is $ 5.00). We also ordered two sushi rolls and the gyoza. The gyoza was delicious and crispy and dipping sauce was divine. The sushi rolls were also delicious but also not memorable. I would say we ordered enough to fill up two people nicely, yet didn’t break the bank. If we didn’t have a groupon it would have been under $ 30 anyway.

Sushi was a bit on the warm side. Ordered the sake and a caterpillar roll. Staff was very nice tho. Cool atmosphere. I was at Kagawa until they rudely said they don’t accept Aexpress. I’ll come again

When my hubby and I want to change environment dinning at Japanese restaurant, we would come here. This place is a just OK, price is not that cheap for the quantity of foods. It’s take quite a long time to get your food tho, I am writing a review as we are waiting for our second orders.

A few weeks ago Josh and I came here for dinner. The location in assembly square is awesome and I wanted to try the Quincy locale. We were greeted and seated at the back of the restaurant. We sat down and a few minutes later there was this unpleasant Ajax/cleaning agent smell that smacked us in the face. I tried to ignore it but it was too strong. We asked to move and they were super cool about it. I didn’t mention the smell — we just asked to move. The sushi. I ordered a Philly Maki, spicy tuna roll, a shrimp tempura maki and wanted to try the steak and cheese maki. The philly and spicy tuna roll makis were delicious. Steak and cheese maki was meh — steak was super under done. And the shrimp tempura maki was buried in so much tobiko that I couldn’t see the maki. Josh enjoyed his sushi, but we both think that presentation could have been done better.

I was pretty disappointed in this place. First of all, on a Friday night at 8pm, we were seated in a table way too large and we were basically screaming across at each other to be heard. I asked about the bento boxes and they are only available for lunch. I ordered a Unagi entrée… 10 min later, I am told they don’t have it. I ordered a kimchee pork and it was soggy. My waitress packed the leftovers so poorly it immediately started dripping through the bag and by the time I got home it was all over my pants and car. I had to throw it all out. I spent $ 30 for all this and it was extremely overpriced. I will not be back!!!

I feel like I’ve been here enough times now to write an accurate review. My husband and I dined here several times when we first started dating(nearly 6 years ago) and still stop in once every few months for some sushi. The atmosphere is fine; we actually sat at the bar one time in the early evening and preferred that. The bar tender was friendly and chatted with us since the place wasn’t busy yet. We’ve actually never been when the place was«hopping» by any means… but usually it’s pretty steady. Regardless, service has always been good and sometimes we’ve had 2 or more servers tending to us throughout the meal. Our favorites: the salmon wonton chips, I refer to these as the«salmon nachos». They look like nachos and are quite reminiscent with the tomatoes mixed in with the salmon and spicy mayo-based sauce. I will caution that they are quite heavy and really are a meal in and of themselves. Usually my husband and I can polish off a few maki rolls after eating these but not much more. We usually stick with maki here though we’ve definitely had the sashimi too. The spicy tuna maki is a fave, as is the sweet potato maki if we order up a vegetarian roll. We are also big fans of the negihama maki and usually will order up one of the special rolls or the caterpillar roll. All in all, the sushi is decent. I’ve had better and more innovative sushi elsewhere but the prices at Fuji are decent and the fish seems to be fresh.

Would give it 5 stars, but Unilocal takes great pride in filtering 5 star reviews. Anyway, my girlfriend and I are obsessed with this place. Best sushi I’ve had, period. I’m no sushi connoisseur, but I know my way around a good sushi place. The décor in here is cool, and it has an overall cool vibe. The last time we were here, about two weeks ago, my girlfriend and I had quite the experience. We sat at the sushi bar, and the owner(found out he was the owner after talking to him for a bit, really cool guy) was working at the time. He made us some of the most amazing dishes. This guy takes sushi very seriously, and served us up some plates that were pieces of art. The fish is insanely fresh, and the sushi is overall out of this world.

I much prefer this Fuji restaurant to the Fuji restaurant near the Wollaston side of quincy. The vibe here at nights is amazing as its crowded and everyone seems to be having a good time. I love the food here. I’ve been here many times and never have I been displeased. Of course there are some I wish something was different but things were usually good during the visits. My most recent visit, I went with my sister on Thursday after a late night of classes. We got the cold soba noodles(I think this came with the shrimp and vegetable tempura), sashimi appetizer, hottate hokkoyaki(I totally spelled it wrong but its the scallop baked in mayo appetizer), cruncheese roll as well as the spider roll, uni sashimi and two servings of fried ice cream, one coconut and one green tea. The sashimi slices were huge and were extremely fresh an creamy. I’m a bit fan of salmon and I had the biggest piece of salmon sashimi that night. The soba noodles weren’t to my liking but my sister loved it! I also forgot to mention that we got the mango and crab salad too! That one of our usual must gets coming here so its definitely a suggested try as it is extremely light and refreshing ! Now that I’m writing a review for Fuji, I’m craving them !

My friend and I came in on a Tuesday night and it was pretty empty. We got the: 1) Salmon wonton chips: these didn’t have a lot of flavor. There was a lot of salmon which was good but the downside is that it was drenched in mayonnaise and lacked flavor. The wonton chips stayed crispy which was pleasant despite having a mound of mayo on top. 2) Hokai Yaki Maki: this was kind of a let down, maybe the appetizer portion would have been better but the maki came out warm with only 4 pieces, again this just tasted like mayonnaise and rice. The scallop didn’t come through at all. 3) Fuji Medley: this roll was the best out of 4. Glad to be able to taste the fish and it was actually quite good. 4) Tuna and Hamachi: was good but nothing exceptional 5) Dragon Maki: once again too much mayo and one bite was just a mouthful of sauce Overall my experience was just average, The sushi was decently priced per roll. The place is rather large and has a bar, maybe I came on an off night. I can see it being fun for big groups on a half pride sushi night, but for regular dinner I’d probably go to Kagawa a few doors down instead.
