If I didn’t love my primary care I’d leave! Besides her and Dr. Yung I would have stay because the nurses are awesome too! Because of Dr. Shiner in his lack of taking care of patience, terrible bedside manners, and zero care into his job besides standing around talking to the nurses I will never return to there. Going one last time to see if my primary care works anywhere else and who she’d recommend! Don’t go at all!

I wish I could give this place negative stars. I switched to Manet Health after my previous doctor of 26 years passed away. I wasn’t happy with them, but stayed for awhile out of pure laziness since I wasn’t getting sick often, and really only went there for yearly physicals. However, after suffering from step throat and dealing with their incompetence, I switched immediately. First, I knew I had strep because it was going around my family and I had been exposed. So, I went in for a throat culture and it was positive, so they put me on a z-pack. I explained to the doctor, that I have had strep several times in the past and z-packs never worked, my former doctor always gave me amoxicillin. He stated that as a patient he had never seen before, he would not give me that type of antibiotic due to fear of allergic reaction. Okay, fine. I took the z-pack and then a week later, I still had strep, and it had gotten worse. I called to make an appointment to come back in, and they told me they couldn’t see me for a day or two. At this point I’m crying over the phone because of the pain and fever, so eventually the receptionist tells me that she can get me into the Hull office that afternoon. So, I go there and as the nurse is taking the throat culture, she tells me there is no doubt I still have strep as my throat is covered in a white film. However, the doctor comes in about 20 minutes later and says that the test was negative and it must be viral. I questioned him on that asking how is possible that I can get a viral infection since the bacterial infection never actually seemed to clear up. He tells me it is probably a coincidence and to just«wait it out» for 7 – 10 days because they can’t treat viral infections with medication. A week later, I’m still in bad shape, and I call the North Quincy office again, this time they have me come in immediately because the nurse realized that the Hull doctor never sent the throat culture out to the lab. She stated that sometimes the cultures will come out negative in the office, but show positive in the lab, so the doctors should always send them to the lab if this is a follow up culture from an initial strep diagnosis, which it was. They apologize profusely, put me on amoxicillin, and finally after a month, my strep is cleared. Too late though, I immediately found a new doctor and will never step into Manet Health again. I regret that I just didn’t go to the Emergency room the first time around.

This last few times i have had appointments here the wait time has been much more reasonable(like 15 minutes). Dr. Shiner has been really nice to work with as my primary care provider. I feel like he talks«with me» instead of «at me». Recently I needed to see a doctor on short notice. I called the center at about 9:15am and they were able to get me in to see doctor Shiner at 11:30am the same day! They work hand in hand with Quincy medical as well. So if they need you to get an MRI or UltraSound etc they send you over to Quincy Medical with paperwork in hand– its pretty easy.
