Clean library, surprisingly large, with lots of sitting areas to read, desks to work at, and free wifi!
This library carries the usual books, a surprisingly large magazine section (with the latest issues available), DVDs, music, etc. There is a large Children’s section too. There is also a large room of used books you can buy (see separate listing for Secondhand Prose)!
There is an Illinois Room devoted to history of the area, including a genealogy section, with microfiche machines for newspapers dating back to 1853!
The staff here is very friendly, and the vibe overall is very welcoming.
All that you could ask for in a library!

Quincy, IL
Gosh, I’m still a fan, but some of the staff leave a little to be desired. Make sure you take your library card every time. Pam will lecture you on the library policy if you do not. I understand having those policies but come on, use some common sense too.
