I love the owners. The older parents always go around to see how people are doing and taking care of all their needs. The food one of the nicest ones in Quincy. I have come here for breakfast lunch and dinner. Breakfast is still my favorite. If there is one improvement would be for them to add the Tiramisu permanently on their dessert menu as it’s out of this world.

Visited Rozafa on a Saturday afternoon, after New Year’s, at 2pm for lunch. It was quiet inside, we were seated right away. One side is a bar separated by seating and the other side has seating as well. It was clean inside and welcoming, lots of wood décor. Our waitress was very friendly. I ordered a mimosa which was delicious and came in a small champagne bottle and carafe of OJ, along with a champagne glass for me to pour, very generous portion. I had a Soprano sandwich, that I asked for w/out the meat, and the grilled portobello mushroom instead, very accomodating. It was delicious, along with spears of pickle and homemade potato chips that were not too salty, just the right amount. Also had the portobello mushroom omlet w/hashbrowns and croissant, delicious and large portions. The water was served in a mason jar which was nice as well. It was chilly in side, only drawback, but I would definately go again. Upscale deli menu with a mediterranean/Italian flair.

This place is a hidden gem, a small neighborhood bistro that actually achieves casual elegance. The food is always wonderful. You can taste the whole and the individual ingredients… great Italian, my fave is the Saltimbocca… The only warning; they do cook from scratch, so it takes a while. Go there when you want to savor great food and a long moment catching up with an old friend or looking into your honey’s eyes!!!

Had the pleasure of eating there for the first time last week. I had the charcuterie — a delious assortment. Especially loved the fig spread, the cheeses perfectly ripe. Also ate the pototo leak soup. Made from scratch and delicious to the last drop. I was served by the owner who was warm and friendly and took obvious pride in his food. Can’t wait to go back and sample more of their cuisine.

I was actually heading to a different restaurant for dinner when I saw Rozafa Mediterranean Bistro. It was packed and so I thought I would check this place out instead. Already in my mind I was envisioning perhaps kebab and dill rice. But to my surprise, most of the food here is Italian!(Yes Italy is in the Mediterranean but that’s not what one thinks of when Mediterranean cuisine is referenced) I took a seat at one of the high tops in the bar area. Service here is a little slow, and they seem a little short staffed. There were plenty of bussers and food servers but the wait staff was a bit lacking, at least in the bar area. I had the veal parmigiana. It was decent but I had had better. The fettuccini noodles were piping hot, and the red sauce was really nicely flavored. I got the check from the waiter(he didn’t ask if I wanted dessert) but he never came back to pick up my card. I had to give it to him as he was ringing up another customer’s take out. He apologized, but still. The place seems to be frequented by regular customers. I am not sure I would come back as I am still in search of my go-to Italian restaurant in the Greater Boston area(I am still looking for my go-to Mediterranean place!)

This place is great for lunch. I keep coming back for their Soprano sandwich, it’s probably my favorite sandwich ever! Prosciutto, tomato, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, and pesto on grilled focaccia– simple and delicious. Soups and salads are phenomenal too– I love the consistent use of bright, flavorful ingredients across the menu. Service here is friendly and punctual. I’m hooked!

Great date spot!!! My little brother referred this spot and I was certainly hesitant given he’s 22 and I’m 30… But DAMN! He killed it. The atmosphere is super modern and clean which is awesome. We came for a late lunch so there were a few patrons. Feels very homey being in the city. Food: I had the turkey gobbler sandwich and bro got the Rozafa burger. Both were cook perfectly and amazing. Homemade chips were astounding and I am not a huge fan. Drinks: best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had — spices were a perfect blend. Had with the bacon and pickle. Mimosas is served with the bottle and orange juice on the side. Service: Emily was our server/bartender. Drinks again, were amazing. She was friendly fun quick = everything you could want in a server! I told her I loved her haha.

Great place for breakfast. It’s never packed, it’s nice and relaxing. They offer outside seating, which I think is great. The food is delicious and the service, although slower than a normal breakfast place, is always good. I would recommend giving them a try.

One of my favorite spots for breakfast, but I never go when I have to be somewhere after. They are just not quick with their breakfast service. My favorite is steak and eggs, delicious coffee, bloody Mary’s and mimosas !! Have eaten dinner here a few years ago and pleasantly surprised ! Worth a stop by when you are in the area! New renovations makes this once deli look and feel like a cozy restaurant. Will be back for breakfast soon!

Went in on a Thurs afternoon, heard good things about the food. Had to ASK where to sit after not being acknowledged for 10 minutes at the front. There was one party and maybe 2 – 3 people at the bar– very slow. One bartender, one server on. After waiting for another 10 minutes to be acknowledged at our seat, we got up and left. I will chalk up the incompetence to inexperience, bummer!

I went there on 5÷30÷15 with a friend of mine and sat at the bar. I ordered a hamburger and my friend ordered a small pizza. We ordered around 7:45. As 8:45 came and went I asked the bartender(the server) if she could check on our food. It will be another two minutes she said. How hard is it to make a hamburger and pizza in a short period of time? The food finally came and was OK. The restaurant wasn’t even that crowded. A couple next to us soon asked where their meals were. As others have stated here, there is an attitude amongst the employees. Some of the help couldn’t be bothered. My friend and I both wondered why there weren’t more people there. The answer is simple. NOONECARESABOUTTHECUSTOMER. I will not be back.

Stopped in for lunch today, it was fantastic! Everything tasted fresh and was delicious. There is a wide variety on the menu, plus they serve breakfast until 3pm everyday. Our waitress was friendly with just the right amount of chat. Huge plus that they have patio seating. They’re homemade chips are delicious, this coming from someone who doesn’t even like potato chips. I can’t say enough good things about it. We had been into the former restaurant in the same location, this is a significant improvement both in décor and menu. Rozafa is much needed and appreciated new spot in Quincy Center. Looking forward to going back for dinner and breakfast.

First time here. Bit slow on coffee refill but staff is working hard and not hiding so that’s forgivable. Breakfast looks great all around me

I’ve been to Rozafa twice, once during dinner & this morning for breakfast. Both times we had abysmal service. Both times we got apologies for long waits for our food & we felt forgotten by the wait staff. This morning, we were seated(2 of us) at 11:22AM. We didn’t get our breakfast(just 2 bacon, egg, & cheese sandwiches) till 12:15PM. It was almost comical how long it took. The table next to us waited 30 minutes just to get their bill brought to them. I held off on reviewing to give the place a 2nd shot after a similar experience with dinner service.(Over an hour to get food that time after ordering.)

I’ve been here as it has changed from Alba deli to Rozafa. It’s nice enough and the menu is good, but there is always something not quite right. A long wait, dirty bathroom, wrong order, rancid butter. The specials can be great– fresh and well prepared, other plates are as an afterthought. Breakfast is good. Every time I come here I get the feeling they want me to leave, but its a walk from my home. I wish it was still Alba deli with the great sandwiches to go. I bought 2 groupons at a good price. I gave one away :( It would be pricey without the incentive and they weren’t good for breakfast.

Not sure why this place is called a Mediterranean Bistro since their menu leans so heavily towards Italian. As we drove along one evening, we found Rozafa as a small stand alone building on a quiet stretch of Hancock Street. There was absolutely no competition for parking on the far side of the street, so I read the sign to make sure that it was okay to park there — and it was! Walking in, we found ourselves the sole guests of the pleasant waitress. A basket of sliced bread was presented with a dish of olives in olive oil after we ordered. However, we opted to save what was left of our appetite for dinner, as we would be sharing a pair of appetizers and two entrees. My favorite dish of the night turned out to be the Eggplant Tart $ 7.00(Homemade eggplant parm served with fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce), with its five thin layers of breaded and fried eggplant rounds sandwiching slices of fresh melted mozzarella stacked in a squat column. The Mediterranean Stuffed Pepper $ 8.00(Stuffed with rice and ground beef and topped with fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce.) was pretty tasty as well with its higher beef to rice ratio and still rather firm pepper shell. Not sure what made that Mediterranean either… Our two entrees, the Baked Haddock $ 16.00(Topped with homemade bread crumbs and a lemon butter sauce.) and the Tagliatelle al Porcini $ 16.00(Fresh egg noodles served with a cream porcini mushroom sauce and topped with truffle oil.) arrived at the same time, and were followed shortly by extra plates, since we had voiced that we’d be sharing everything. The pasta ribbons were more tender than al dente, which so happened to be just the way my DC prefers. It was quite flavorful and filling a dish. The sides which came with the haddock were well portioned, and slightly overwhelmed the fish. The crumbs topping the fillet were rather rich, as was the pool of butter melted on the mashed. I enjoyed the still firm brussels sprouts veggie of the day, while my DC would have preferred them more tender. Having eaten our fill, we each went home with a doggy bag with enough for tomorrow’s light lunch(though admittedly, we were far from starving at our arrival, as we had enjoyed dessert first). When we left, the dining room was still our own private playground, while there were several parties enjoying the football playing on the tv in the bar area. Service was terrific as she was proactive and timely and friendly.

Been here twice. Great atmosphere and pricing. Good wine selection. Loved our waitress. Loved the eggplant tart and the french onion soup! The Ceasar salad was good but really lemony My caprese was basically a tomato salad w a quarter sized slice of mozzarella on each tomato and it wasn’t fresh mozza.(I get caprese salad everywhere I go and so this was dissappointing) The special for the night was lobster rosotto. I could smell the fishy smell before the food even got to our table. I don’t eat lobster but I can’t imagine ever eating something that smells so rotten. It was very pungent. So I’d say great place for apps and wine. I’ve also had their pizza and the sandwiches looked good.

Service is usually pretty slow, but the food is excellent. Definitely worth the wait. They just need to hire a few more wait staff and this will be a top notch spot. Definitely don’t pass it up.
