Very good food and service. Had a problem with the delivery guy and it was immediately rectified! Indian take-out is my fave guilty pleasure on rainy or stormy nights, so I’m glad that was taken care of because I really like their food!

Been coming to Sher-A-Punjab for a few years now. Courteous staff and excellent food at a fair price. The setting isn’t five star, so I took one off… but the cuisine more than makes up for it. Check out the delicious weekday buffet. Worth the trip to Quincy.

I love coming here because you get a huge portions, enough to have fill you up and to pack home. Favorite things to order are the garlic naan, lamb saag, chicken korma, butter chicken and aloo naan. The lamb saag, chicken korma, and butter chicken, gives you huge and tons of pieces of meat. It all tastes so flavorful and soft. I don’t suggest getting delivery from here because it takes forever and the last time we ordered delivery, one of the dishes was missing and one of the orders was the wrong order. I would suggest coming here on the weekend for the lunch buffet special, it’s only $ 9.95. The staff is very kind to check how the food is and are attentive with refilling your water or clearing dishes. It gets really warm while you eat there so wear layers.

Nothing fancy here. Just great Indian food and a friendly, helpful staff. Only issue is parking on Hancock. You can use the lot in back.

Love this place… The food is delicious and service is pretty good. They are very efficient at refilling drinks. I ordered the chicken tiki Marsala last time and it is perfect. The chicken is never dry. Also, the chicken curry naan is great. Highly recommend.

My go to place for Indian food around Quincy, and the favorite for a quick bite. The place did not seem to be too crowded and the service was quick. Food was excellent, of good portion size and reasonably priced. The papadum, the garlic naan and the curries are highly recommended.

Come here for the daily lunch buffets all the time. Tasty, fresh servings of different Indian style dishes for $ 9.99 M-F; $ 10.99 on weekends. LOVE their garlic naan. Lots of vegetarian options as well. Just wish the food was a bit spicier but I could understand since it’s buffet they keep it mild. Service is great, friendly attentive staff.

Saw they had a Groupon and thought it was a great opportunity to give them a try. My fiancé and I got the chicken naan which was amazing. And for an entrée I got the chicken coconut curry. Portion sizes are huge! All of their dishes come with a sharable side of basmati rice. The food was as good I’d hope it would be. My fiancé and I ate all of the rice but wanted to bag up the rest of our naan and curry. The server came over with containers and a container of extra rice! I didn’t even ask for it which I was so impressed with. I will definitely be back here again.

Ordered take out and got the chat papri, aloo naan, gobhi achari, palak paneer. Everything was pretty good. Aloo naan tasted the same as all other aloo naans. Chat papri was sooooo yummy. It had the perfect mixture of crunchiness and soaked in yogurt. The lemony flavor is what won me over. Palak paneer was very creamy and flavorful. Gobhi achari was perfectly seasoned and just enough spice to have a little kick. I would go back. One thing, the prices on Unilocal menu did not match the ones at the store. The server nicely showed the menu to us and showed the Unilocal menu to her boss so they can change it. Very polite staff

Only have ever ordered delivery from Sher all Punjab, so can’t comment on dine in service. However, I’ve found the quality to be decent compared with other options and especially when way to lazy too get butt off couch to go out. This particular evening I was dining solo, and ordered way too much food! Hint – leftover pashwary nan is a great accompaniment to morning coffee. Got the mutter paneer, and ordered an extra side of jasmine rice. Oops, too much rice! Unrequested, they also delivered some papadam and 3 dipping sauces. Nice touch. Order came faster than predicted online, and driver was friendly and courteous.

Ordered take out from here since I was craving Indian food. I went with the lamb coconut curry and garlic naan. Garlic naan was very good, better than the one I’ve tried at another Indian restaurant. It had a great taste and was nice and soft. The lamb coconut curry was also tasty. The sauce was very bold, nicely seasoned, lamb was tender. The only negative would be the price for what you get. It would be more worth it if the dishes came with more meat. Each order does come with a side of rice. There’s currently a groupon so I might come back to dine in next time.

If you plan on ordering delivery, go elsewhere. Last time I ordered it took an hour and a half but atleast the food was good. This time it took an hour and 50 minutes to receive our food and I live a mile and a half from the restaurant. Never again. Update: I was contacted by the manager shortly after calling to complain about the delivery service, and he sincerely apologized for the inconvenience and provided a full refund. Standup guy, will order again.

I am a supporter of mom and pop restaurants and it breaks my Unilocaler’s spirit a little to write a bad review of places I used to like. Unfortunately, Sher a Punjab is on the list as one of them. Went here for a late lunch with my friend yesterday. Decided to grab something quick since it was late anyways. What can be faster than a lunch buffet? The first tell tale sign I should have heed was the chilli paneer swimming in grease, and the dal makhani that looks like it has seen better days. Braving myself through what’s left of the lettuce, I went for the chilli paneer, aloo gobi, and dal makhani with some dry looking basmati rice. I should have listened to my gut feeling and passed on the buffet. Had the worst food poisoning ever. Threw up all night and felt really ill. This morning I thought the worse was over and went into work. Boy was I wrong. Felt dizzy the entire day till the dry heave came at 2:30PM. Didn’t eat anything all day, too afraid to throw up. Not returning after the last incident.

My trip to Sher-A-Punjab one Sunday afternoon was to pick up a take-out order to go. I managed to find a spot easily on the corner, but when placing my order, I had inquired about the parking lot in the back, and they told me that I could park there especially since it was the weekend. I was surprised that my order wasn’t quite ready yet, but I asked if I could enjoy the Pistachio Shake $ 3.50 I had ordered in the meantime. The portion that arrived seemed kind of light since the circumference of the glass was rather small, but I loved the flavor — it was like drinking thinned pistachio pudding! Yum! Each of the entrée dishes I ordered came with a side of their Basmati Rice. From the Modern Indian section of the menu, I selected the vegetable dish — Subz Panchmael $ 13.95 Red, yellow and green peppers, artichokes, asparagus and bean sprouts stir fried with panch phoran flavored tomato and green cardamom sauce. And from the Lamb & Goat section, the Sher-A-Punjab Goat $ 14.95 Pieces of goat meat(with bone) cooked in our chef’s delightful coconut curry. Both mild for this spicy wimp. The Subz Panchmael was a good portion of tasty vegetables — I counted at least 3 full stalks of asparagus among its julienned compatriots. The goat was tender and not at all gamey, and I enjoyed the sauce with the rice. I’d order both again, but first I’d like to check out their lunch buffet — Monday — Friday 11:30am — 3pm $ 9.95, Saturday 11:30 — 3pm and Sunday 12:30pm — 3pm $ 10.95 to sample a variety of their dishes. Service was pleasant and considerate despite the fact that I was redeeming a voucher deal. For future consideration: Madrasi Fish $ 14.95 Fresh swordfish cooked in a curry sauce with mushrooms green peppers & onions Aloo Choley $ 11.95 Whole chick peas and potato balls cooked with onion, tomatoes, spices and a sauce garnished with fresh coriander Coconut Chicken Curry $ 13.95 Boneless chicken in curry sauce w/mustard seeds & coconut Chicken Korma $ 12.95 Chicken cooked in a mild creamy sauce with nuts and raisins Garlic Naan $ 3.95 Unleavened, handmade bread stuffed with fresh garlic and coriander Chicken Coconut Naan $ 3.95 Handmade bread stuffed with diced chicken and coconut, herbs & spices, in our tandoor

You know, this used to be our go-to place. But these days, the quality has dropped. On two different occasions, we’ve been back. And both times we were disappointed with the quality and taste of the food as well as the service. We’ve decided it’s worth the drive to Weymouth for Indian Delight: I say this for several reasons. But the main point i’m trying to get across is that i feel Shera Punjub has simply become complacent. When they first started, they were trying very hard. Dishes came out very nicely presented, this time we got the appetizer sampler plate and the chicken was bone dry and the lamb was undercooked. Next, the dishes(Chicken Vindaloo and Choley) both were just average at best. Lastly, the service. I sat there for about 15 minutes without getting my water refilled. Normally they are very good at this. But not this time. Maybe it was a fluke. We were also hoping the food quality was a fluke. But we just can’t give it a third chance. Sorry. They’ve had soda quality issues with their machine since day one. They still refuse to fix it. I’m just over the place. The owner is a nice guy, but someone has to be honest with the place.

Good lunch buffets, esp. on the weekends. They have very good masala chai at the buffet. The meat dishes are better than the vegetarian ones. The gulab jamuns have always been good! The a la carte dishes are very average. Tried a fried rice and bengan bharta once, and never went back for dinner after that.

So I have been coming here ever since it opened. And I have never had a bad meal dine in or dine out. Haven’t gotten over there in awhile due to the parking but then I noticed there is parking behind the building, YEAH. I ordered nline for pickup, chicken curry, garlic Naan and my fave spinach Palak paneer. Hate to say it, I was dissapointed. The spinach didn’t taste anything like how it usually does and both the curry and the spinach were lacking any spice. I ordered medium, which usually has plenty of spice. Maybe they changed the levels of heat?? I feel like trader Joe’s Indian food would have been a smarter choice tonight. .sigh. Now I have bland leftovers… womp womp Shortly after I wrote this review I got a phone call from the restaurant telling me they wanted to make it right. So I just had another whole meal dropped off. I have usually ordered via phone, this time I ordered online. Apparently the spice info never got relayed to them so everything is automatically made mild. I just took a bite… insert Homer Simpson eating a donut face… So good. World class service!!!
