The prices were on the high side. Even more disappointing than that was that it took a month to fix my computer. They were able to fix it, but i would look elsewhere if I were you.

My hard drive on my laptop fried. They recovered all the data and installed a new, larger hard drive… for $ 168.00!!! I felt like I robbed them. Bringing my other laptop in to get the LCD screen replaced as well and will post another review.

Impressive company! I called to request a home visit/​repair to reinstall a wireless network. They first reminded me that this was something I could probably do myself. They gave me a price, which I felt was very reasonable and had a representative at my home at the scheduled time the following day. The rep showed me how to do the task — even giving me time to make notes! Jim was professional, efficient and knowledgable. A neighbor had recommended the company and I would definitely call them again if the need arises.

Went to Comp Net b/​c my laptop had a nasty virus that wouldn’t let me access anything– applications, folders, or the internet.
Comp-​Net fixed the problem completely– it was apparently a pretty bad virus and they had to do a lot of work to it but restored the computer completely. 48 hour turn around, and to top it off they even cleaned my laptop up and fixed one of my keyboard keys that had come loose (no extra charge). The only thing I can’t comment on is price because I have no frame of refernce for how much it should have been, it could have been great or pricey. but i didnt think the cost was over the top for fixing my computer to be literally like new.

I think they were so helpful and very nice. I brought in my laptop that had some special kinda stuff on it and they got rid of it for me and kept a good chunk of my music files that I needed. I got the laptop as good as new and it still works several years later. I think they are pretty good at what they do

my husband fried the power source on our external hard drive by accidentally using our power drill a/​c adapter to plug it into the wall. After I recovered from my heart palpitations, he told me that he had looked up Comp-​Net and they put the memory part into a new housing for a decent price while he waited… and it works fine. whew. Thanks for saving us $ 300, bc that’s what another business wanted to charge for a data transfer into a new hard drive…
we have the applecare plan for our macbooks, but if any of our other equipment needs a fix-​up, I’ll definitely be going back here.

Brought a laptop here with a busted interior power jack. They fixed it for a competitive price and with a very quick turnaround. Customer service is very good — friendly and knowledgeable. I’d definitely recommend them.

A bit pricey. I had my laptop and desktop repaired by them and my video card didn’t work at all afterward but I do know that it was removed or swapped out with one of lower quality without my consent or knowing. I was not informed either if my card had anything wrong with it. I would of came back and complained but when i realized it wasn’t working it was too late. it was months down the line and we had already moved out of Quincy already. I didnt find out about the issue until almost a year later due to my unfortunate living situation. I mean they did get the job done but I suggest they start giving their customer’s a summary of the work that was done so they wont come across an issue like this or similar. I would consider this one of those rare occasions. I am pretty sure they wont have a whole lot of reviews like this one as my situation was unique. I will give them credit for trying to resolve the situation after the fact through Unilocal,thus prompting me to give them a 3 star review instead of 2. Customer service is not the problem here, its more about how things are done. I wouldnt say they are the best nor am I saying they are the worst. I’m sure many other customers will have plenty to praise about. I am only just speaking about my own displeasure.

My laptop broke. It would turn on, but the screen would be black. After bringing it to a place that I completely did NOT trust, I walked through the door of Comp-​Net Solutions. I definitely should have came here first!
Jeff looked at my laptop right away while I was sitting there. They tried to find the root of the issue and I was able to sit there and watch what was going on. He also was talking me through what he was doing and why he was doing it, which really put my nervous mind at ease.
Their prices were very reasonable (although it sucks to pay $ 200 for a new laptop screen) and they called me when my laptop was going to take longer than originally expected to fix. They even stayed later than their office hours so that I could pick up my laptop after work.
Totally trust these guys and would come back here in a heartbeat — if my computer needs it again (KNOCK ON WOOD).
