Prima Pizza

A very unassuming place, nothing special looking from the outside. But there is a surprise here. Like any true assassin, it’s very unassuming but they have the best pizza I in central Virginia. Really. It’s NY style, just the right amount of thickness, right amount of cheese. My kids swears by it so you know it’s true.

Lasagna, Italian sub, stuffed shells and spaghetti were good food! The rolls were excellent. We didn’t try the pizza. The mild garlic wings were spicy hot — too hot for someone that doesn’t like spicy food. Service was ok but she wasn’t friendly.
Everything was just good.

Use to live in the area and on the way home last night we called in a pick up in passing through. Ordered 2 small subs, garden salad, and mozzarella sticks. 2 subs were not small and very tasty. House salad was very big. Mozzarella sticks seemed to come from a bag and heated (rubbery). Overall they did not disappoint.

I’m sorry but this used to be one of my favorite places to get a bite to eat. However, after tonight’s frustrating episode which should have been a simple pizza delivery I can say I am no longer a fan. The pizza took over an hour from order to delivery, customer service was bad at best, and the nail in the coffin was the pizza was bland in taste. Sorry Prima, if you have the right product and service, customers will come.

Recently ordered a pizza and a order of mozzarella sticks. Went in to pick it up 8 minutes after ordering and it was already ready. I wasn’t asked to check the boxes at all. I get home and they are cold and it’s only half an order of mozzarella sticks. I called and asked for a manager and was told we had a credit for next time. Called tonight to order and was told it was scratched out because they only give credits when there is hair in the food. So, I asked to speak to the manager again and was told she is the only manager and didn’t give the credit for it. She said it was an employee. I specifically asked for a manager. She refused to honor it and told me to go somewhere else. She was extremely rude to me. So we are taking our business and all our family and friends to Milton’s. We’ve had several issues with this restaurant and the services along with the quality of food. I do NOT recommend this to anyone. Drive 3 minutes and go to Milton’s, where they care!

The pizza is fantastic. Fast in delivery and take out. We have tried salads and sandwiches too.
Again, great food !!! However, the pizza is above great!
The people at the counter are always so friendly.
We can’t wait to come back.

The pizza here is always one or the other. You will never get a perfect pie, either because the oven isn’t baking properly or they’ve just gotten away with making it this way for so long that they haven’t changed. I’ve ordered the Mediterranean with added chicken and without. The crust is really the best part, but for some reason my pizzas, personal to medium sized, are never done in the middle. Just a big soggy mess!
The portions for their specialty dishes are massive and could feed a whole family. I ordered the chicken marsala to go and when I got home I realized it’s enough to feed me for at least 3 days. It’s a shame it wasn’t really good, because it was a lot of food wasted to the trash.
Inside the place isn’t very welcoming either. I rarely see anyone dining in and the few people that I have seen had screaming children with them in a very small space.

I stopped for a salad and it was fresh and served with a wonderful garlic bread. The service was excellent!
