Go ahead, call Bob and schedule an appointment. Don’t be surprised if he can’t get you in for a week, he is a busy man running the same business he has for the last 50 years. The shop is typical of an old working class neighborhood from a different time. The man will entertain you with fantastic Racine history, the occasional marriage advice and his energetic way of answering the phone«Hey Stormin Norman» or «What’s up Frank the Tank» or something similar all thanks to his caller ID. Expect a classic haircut, using a straight blade for your neck, side burns, and around the ears. When you arrive, he will be finishing up with his earlier appointment. Sit down have some peanuts, read the paper, and if your craving some candy, open the end table drawer and you may find a welcome surprise. This is the way a barber shop should be. The guy will talk and listen and I’m sure if you are ever in a crunch(car trouble, forgot to let your dog out, etc.) he would help. All around great guy. Cash, no credit.
