There was a huge banner on the side of the building for $ 89 for brakes. I was off work on med leave and my brakes were already squealing. I called and set up a time to bring my car in. I dropped it off and came back home for a nap. The sales guy called me and told me I would need new calipers, new struts, it would be dangerous to drive my car in the shape it was in. I told them not to do anything. I would call them right back. I immediately called my husband and we discussed the phone call. I was shaking I was so mad. We arranged to go pick up my car. When I got there, they were already starting to back pedal, but basically told me that I would have to sign a waiver to drive my car off the property. Come on. I am a freaking lawyer. It was simply a release. Did they think I wouldn’t read it? I WILL NEVER GO BACK and would NEVER recommend anyone else go to this location. Sleaze all the way around. I took my car to the mechanic my dad uses and asked him to specifically look at the things I had been told were dangerous. He just shook his head. He looked and told me there was no way I needed the items they enumerated. instead of $ 3000 the MIdas team tried to extort from me, my new brakes cost me less than $ 200.
Do not trust them.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at a car place. I was told that my car needed over $ 700 to pass emissions for a simple fix. When I took the car to another location, my car passed with no payment. I would never recommend anyone to go to this location. Please please have your car double checked after being looked at by Midas or go somewhere else. It will save you time and money later.

The guys at Midas were awesome today. Had my brakes done at a reasonable price. My Dodge was done when promised. I will be going there for all my repairs from now on.

We took in our Dodge Caravan to have brakes fixed.
They quoted us over $ 940 for the repairs (front brakes and rear brakes), and also indicated that to fix a faulty ball joint that the bill would total $ 1,600
We just paid the $ 29 vehicle inspection fee and left. I ended up taking the car to a shop in Chicago and got all brakes and the ball joint replacement&installation done for well under $ 700 (all parts and labor included, with warranty!)
I think this shop is grossly overpriced and I am glad we did not use their services.

I got my brakes done a few weeks ago at this Midas. I was told that all four sets of brakes and rotors need to be done as well as all calipers throughout the car. The total cost would’ve been over $ 1300. I opted not to have the calipers done due to the possibility they might still be under warranty. Took my car to to the dealership today and was told that my calipers are just fine and don’t need to be replaced. Now I am curious whether they screwed me on the rest of the deal. Lesson learned will never go here again.
