I will NEVEREVER! Use Norby and Sons again! We had used them quite a few times over the past few years. Most the time it was a smooth efficient move. I recently had them move me into an apartment on September 19th2014 I decided that I did not like the neighborhood and just hired them to move me back out November 8th2014. The first time I was charged 140 – 150 $ price range and was happy with the move. This time around the movers were being slow, and flat out did not listen to us when we told them the movers prior brought our living room furniture in over our balcony. They said the stairs were to narrow and the furniture would get stuck. These new guys did not want to listen and did it anyway. 40 minuets later our furniture was still stuck in the stairway. I called and reported it during the move and was feed a bunch of excuses. Rather then own up and apologize that these two new guys failed miserably compared to the past ones, I was made to feel like it was my fault. Ultimately I was charged close to 300 $ this time, to move the exact same stuff as they moved a few weeks prior. This was a huge difference. Any child would understand that this clearly shows these movers were not up to par with the prior movers and the service is very inconsistent. I was credited the half hour that was wasted, however it still took these guys much longer to do the same job their co workers accomplished in half the time a few weeks prior. As a customer looking for a service I look for quality, consistency, respect and want to feel like my business is valued. This was simply not the case today.

They don’t care. They are careless. They pack sloppily. They broke several items and refused to compensate or acknowledge that it was their fault.(«You must not have packed well enough.») One item was my late mothers antique plate — which was packed like a golden egg. They automatically sent 2 guys to move without saying anything, which doubled the cost and they did nothing to rectify. Even though we complained that they took turns moving things(one stood around while the other moved boxes, then they switched over and over throughout the day. They actually stopped and had lunch in between trips and charged us for the time while we were waiting for them to show up. The guys overcharged us by 2 hours by misstating their start and stop times by an hour each, and after complaining to their office, they reluctantly refunded 1 hour. They took apart my office desk and stripped the screws while attempting to reassemble it and left with the advice to «Buy longer screws. That should work.» I am a retired and disabled former Plant Mgr, Industrial Engr, IS Mgr, etc. I am not exaggerating — this is a ripoff joint in my opinion and should be avoided at all costs.
