Piggly Wiggly Super Markets

A pretty disappointing building housing a pretty disappointing grocery. If you are on an excellent buzz and need to bring on the melancholy to chill out, this place is so bad your great day will be quickly neutralized.

I’m a huge fan. This past spring, I was minding my own business when I learned about 20 hungry people were coming over for a visit. Never mind that there was a kid involved who’d invited all these people without informing any adults! We called the Pig and ordered chicken. They said it would be ready in some short amount of time that meant we ran to Target and then to the Pig and the chicken was ready when we got there, enough to feed 20 people.
I learned that not only do they make good cakes and chicken but they can do it with little or no notice even on the day of prom when every other business turns their noses up and scoffs at your lack of responsibility for wanting a last minute service. Even on the day of graduation when the same teenager pulls a similar stunt and you swallow your anger then set out to make her dreams come true, Piggly Wiggly has your back.
Next time I’m in, I want to check out the Mexican bakery they have off to the side. The desserts they have in there look like definite diet busters but, even in my time crunch, I stopped and drooled over those desserts for at least five minutes.

New Mexican paneria n butcher spot added also lots of american staples and bakery as well. Lots of fresh produce with no fruit flies like what you get at walmart! They do birthday cakes too. Meat specials every week. Everything fresh! !

First time at a Piggly Wiggly, I gotta say, I am impressed! Wishing it was closer to me in the CHI. Good deals, and nice selection of international products. Also has a bakery and liquor department. Next time, I need to pick up some groceries before heading home! We just picked up a couple of non-​perishables — but I really wanted to pick up a lot more! Workers we encountered were all very nice. Very social and in a good mood. Always like that!

As the anchor in the Badger Plaza Shopping Center strip mall, it’s the main draw. Parking is angled and has a main entrance from Durand.
It’s a smaller footprint than other Piggly Wigglys but it serves the area adequately. Produce is right through the main entrance with an ample setup of deli and meats in the back. The frozen foods and staples (milk, cheese) are in the back left. The front left is the bakery. There is a small liquor area near the customer service desk. I was surprised at the number of shelves being re-​stocked at 2 on a Saturday afternoon rather than an off-​peak time.
