Ever feel like thrifting in an alcoholic’s stomach? Then you’ve come to the right place. Headed over here because I heard there are treasures buried under the mess, but the overwhelming smell and crazy crack head running around leave me wanting other places to spend less and get more. There is a 50% sale on Friday, though I don’t know if it is worth my subjecting myself to more attacks on the olfactory senses. I’m not a faint of heart or sensative stomach person, but this place will make anyone pause after the first step over the hoodrat threshold. You have been warned.

We called Revival Thrift to come pick up the remaining stuff at our mom’s house after she passed away last May. Revival Thrift folks showed up with a van. It was an older man and woman, and a young 18-year-old girl. They showed up, took a couch from the house and a table and chairs from the garage. They refused to listen when I tried to instruct them how to get the large couch out of the house. Instead, they forced it around a built in hutch, into the front hallway, and bent the light fixture hanging down. The guy constantly kept moving even though I told him to stop and that I would take the fixture down first. He was extremely rude to me and mumbled that he’s done this«a lot.» Well, I’m the one that knows how the couch got in, so at least pretend to listen(is what I was thinking). Then the table and chairs in the garage… the young girl wasn’t strong enough and instead of asking for help, she just dragged the table across the cement on its side. That was extremely painful to watch. I’m kicking myself for letting that table go after seeing the lack of care this company treats the pieces people donate for FREE. Good quality pieces that lasted 40+ years, four kids, six grandkids, and a cat. Unbelievable. We had much more for Revival Thrift to pick up. They said they would be back in a half-hour after unloading back at their shop. They never came back. After 1.5 hours(ish) I called and left our cell phone numbers… no response. Waited another hour. My sister called from the neighbor’s phone and the young girl answered(probably because it was from a different number) and she had no reason as to why they weren’t coming back. She just seemed like she was lying rather than just saying, «Hey, we got a look at what was there and we just don’t need it for our shop.» That would’ve been perfectly acceptable and my sister and I would’ve been on our way. I mean, we took vacation time from work to have this company clear our mom’s house. The remaining stuff was boxed and ready for them to take. This was a complete waste of time and now we have to do it again with another company to finish up. And for a place that claims it wants to help people, Revival Thrift did nothing of the sort for my family. It’s extremely difficult to clear your childhood home and Revival Thrift made the experience 1,000 times worse. Don’t waste your time with these people. Call Purple Heart, Easter Seals, Salvation Army, or Good Will. We wanted to contribute the remaining quality items of our mother’s to a local organization that helped people in need. Unfortunately we picked the wrong one.
