Econo Lodge Fort Knox

second time ive had to stay in this hotel and i hope its the last! The company i work for booked this hotel again after i asked they not do it because its a run down rat trap. Dont let the pics fool you it is NASTY… I checked into my room yesterday and saw a to go plate in the micro wave… took it out to throw away. opened it to see if the food looked good and id go find and have the same… BAD IDEA… food was covered in mold! Last time i was in this hotel the fridge looked like it had not been cleaned in months… trust me drive a few miles up the road and stay at a cleaner place. WIFI half way worked… mold in the corners of bathroom… stand alone lamp didnt work… its a dump!

I have nothing against motels, they are inexpensive options for people that don’t or can’t spend a lot of money for the night. That being said, I paid about $ 70 for one night and that was a lot. I’m not sure if it was because of the area or what, but for $ 70 I could stay at a decent hotel. The weather was nasty though to the point that my family didn’t want to risk driving so we were forced to stay the night. The room itself was self explanatory. There was a bathroom to the side, a sink separated from the actually bathroom, two beds, a TV, microwave, and mini fridge. There is a free breakfast but the options were very limited. There were only 2 slices of bread, two different cereals, watered down juice, yogurt, frozen waffles with no syrup, and coffee when I walked in. Unless I have no other options, I don’t think I’ll come back just because it was pricey for a motel.
