This place either needs to be shut down or seriously renovated. I worked with aquatics for years, and this shop displays a terrible array of neglect and disinterest in its aquariums. Aside from that, there are«shop dogs» that wander freely during all hours. The dogs are not for sale. They are mostly tame, but relieve themselves all over the shop, leaving behind an unbearable odor. This might sound contrived, but I am suspicious of activity going on there. I owned two fire-belly frogs for a few years, and visited this shop only once for crickets. Upon purchase of said crickets, the owner/operator asked me if I needed anything *special*. I said no, that the crickets would do just fine and began to exit. The employee asked me in several different inflections if I didn’t come in there for something more special, something not usually sold in stores. I have first hand accounts of other patrons experiencing the same kind of badgering and insistence. If you need pet supplies in the NRV, as much as I hate to say it, please go to PetSmart. There used to be a nice shop on West End, but it seems to be closed now.
