What a great find! Just passing through needed some food for family — good food, priced fairly for quality and taste.

Lindsay was the best best bartender ever. She made drinks that took me to lands never before dreamt. I will never again patronize another bar after this glorious experience.

Get the nachos with vegetarian chili. Look, I don’t care if you’re a carnivore. I. Do. Not. Care. If you are considering going to Sharkey’s, or sitting in the booth wondering what’s good, get those freaking nachos. Aside from the nachos, Sharkey’s caters to a specific crowd — college kids who want to drink at places that serve enough beers to make them feel more cultured than they do at other restaurants in the area. If you don’t like loud, cavernous, sports bar-esque restaurants, you should probably avoid Sharkey’s. If you are feeling a burger, some wings, some nachos, and a pitcher of beer to wash it down with, Sharkey’s is a pretty solid location. Some of their promotions are great. Free burger Monday is a great day to go with a broke friend, or to treat yourself(you’ll get a voucher to use next time). The wings buffet is hit or miss, but if you like wings, knock yourself out. Bingo night is loud and packed, so if crowds make you anxious, that’s probably a good night to avoid. The service tends to be a little on the slow side, so make sure you are there with patience people who are fun to talk to.

I’ve only been here twice, with somewhat mixed results. The first time was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The bison burger was dry, the nachos were soggy, the service was terrible, the silverware was filthy, and the TVs were on so loud we couldn’t even hear each other. The second time, however, was a little better. The corn dog nuggets were good, the beer was good, and the mahi-mahi po’ boy was absolutely delicious. It was cleaner, it was quieter, and our server was fantastic … that being said, my girlfriend’s salad was really bad(the lettuce was brown, the chicken was leathery). If I eat there again, I’ll edit this review. For now, my suggestion is to eat elsewhere.

Came to shoot pool. It was kids night. One of the pool tables was broken. I kid came over wanting to play. We told him he could play with us. He wanted the table to himself. His mother complained to the busboy and he came over and was unfriendly in asking us to shair. We told him we would finish the game and let the kids have the table. He was not happy with that. If they want to have kids night they should open the second level for the grown-ups. Turns out the other table was not broken and they let the kids use that table. If you want to avoid the night of noisy kids avoid Tuesday night.

Sharkey’s is, hands down, my favorite place to be. Drink prices are amazing and the food prices are very reasonable for the portions you receive. I have been over a hundred times over the past 8 years(this is not an exaggeration). I can say, with complete confidence, that I have never had a truly bad experience. The bar/restaurant can get loud at times, but this is a bar in a college town. Sometimes the service can slow down if they are busy, but if you are coming to a restaurant/bar for a quick in-and-out meal, you may want to re-examine your expectations. The food/drinks are all fantastic! The owners and staff are fantastic! I will recommend Sharkey’s 100% any day!

While the bar atmosphere is definitely fun, this place shouldn’t even serve food and has horrible service. I’ve visited Sharkey’s numerous times because it’s one of the few bars in Radford. It’s a great place to be and everyone loves the social aspect of it. I’ve tried numerous things off of the menu and it is never good. The food tastes like bad quality BWW. On top of that, the service isn’t good. If you are in a party of college kids(this is a very small college town) don’t expect good service.

If you’re looking for a great place to ruin a pair of shoes and pants then look no further. During happy hour you can get so plastered on the cheap your attire will be vomit covered in no time flat!

We had Sharkey’s today for the second time, and had a wonderful experience. The food and service were excellent.

By far the best restaurant and Happy Hour in town. Fabulous atmosphere with an incredible menu. Vegetarian friendly — which is much appreciated. The staff is extremely professional and friendly and really take the time to get to know their customers by name(and drink preference). The bartenders are the best in town… And all the ladies(married and single) love Josh — A little eye candy is good for the soul.

Cheap food and drinks. The quality of the food was pretty darn good for college bar. Will be back

Not your typical bar food, both the food quality and taste as well as the service exceeded excited expectations.

Anyone who knows me is aware that I absolutely adore this place. The food is delicious(the Krabby Patty burger is amazing), the drink selection is top notch, and the owners and staff are wonderful folks. Now, a caveat: if you’re looking for a nice quiet spot to hang out and collect your thoughts, this is NOT your scene. Even when it isn’t particularly crowded, it’s on the loud side. Blame the high ceilings-basic acoustics, folks! It’s never particularly bothered me, though. Give them a chance, you won’t regret it!

We always come here for buy one get one free burgers, or all you can eat wings. Their food is so so, the only food I eat there is their wings and the krabby patty burger. Other than that their food isn’t the best out there. There service is probably the slowest service I have ever received in my life and they do not really care if the service you receive is slow. Now that they’ve opened the upstairs part of Sharkeys it’s definitely a better scene, although there is too much space up there and not enough bar. It’s not decorated appropriately, kinda sloppy. But a drink is a drink, and it’s a good place to grab a drink.

Sharkey’s, where do I even start? This was THE place to go when I went to Radford in my opinion because it was the perfect formula for a college restaurant. Open up downtown: Check Huge draft & bottled beer selection: Check Great happy hour prices(can you say $ 5 pitchers?): Check Delicious food(Get the Krabby Patty, you’re welcome): Check Special deals every night(BOGO, 50% off wine bottle, etc): Check Wing Buffet: Check Trivia night: Check And I recently just heard they opened a dancing area upstairs which Im curious to see how that does. But anyways too many great things to say about this place, the management must know what they are doing because it struck a nerve in me and now this restaurant will always be a place of great memories. Oh Sharkey’s, how I miss you… soo much. Please consider expanding and having some establishments in the northern Virginia area!

Great place to grab a bite during the day or drink at night. It does get loud at night and the bar gets pretty full, but it’s a cool place to watch a Tech game or a Redskins game. During lunch, they have a great all-you-can-eat soup/salad/breadsticks buffet(every day during lunch, even on the weekends).

I’ve eaten at Sharkey’s many MANY times in my years at Radford. The food is good. I can’t say I’ve ever had a bad meal. I especially love to go on Monday when burgers are BOGO. You can either split it with a friend and each pay the discounted price or they will give you a coupon for your free burger next time. A few nights of the week they have a wing bar which always looks good. Some favorites of mine include the No Name Burger(a burger with cream cheese, jalapenos, and chipotle sauce), the chicken wing wrap(served with any of their wing sauces) and the fried zucchini. A lot of their fried appetizers are served with a horseradish sauce that is pretty delicious as well. I’ve also had salad which was generously portioned and full of fresh veggies. They have lots of rotating beers on tap and try to carry unique brews. Their daily drink specials are great too. The biggest downfall to this place is that it’s always LOUD. Even at lunch, they have the music up very loud. I guess that’s part of the ambiance that they’re going for, but sometimes at dinner it’s hard to even hear the person sitting next to you. I’ve also had some terrible service along the way. The good thing is that I go a lot, and most of the time those terrible servers don’t last long at all. Most of the regular servers are awesome. Definitely give Sharkey’s a try.

There is a lot to be said about Sharkey’s. First off it is really more of a bar than a restaurant. During the school year it is always packed with college students in the bar and eating areas. They do have a really big breakfast/brunch buffet which is nice for those who get up late on the weekends. They have a really wide food selection with stuff like burgers, chicken, wings etc.

I went here during the summer, so this review may not be accurate for the school year. We got her at 10:30PM on a Saturday and had burgers and a couple of beers. The draft and tap beer selection was huge with good variety and a well-organized beer menu. The food was great. Burgers were prepared exactly as ordered, medium and medium-rare. This is the first time we have received a medium-rare burger that really was medium-rare anywhere in the NRV. The fries were good too. Service was excellent despite the restaurant being busy. The only bad thing I can say is that the restaurant is LOUD. But our experience was good in spite of that.
