Horrible. I went there to get a jump start because my car wouldn’t turn back on while I was at the dmv and they charged me $ 20 for it. Just to give me a jump. I can only imagine how they rob their customers for other things. Never was a customer and defenitely will never be a customer now. Maybe a little bit of compassion would have gained them a customer to see what is wrong with my battery. NO THANKS.

Booked a Budget Rent a car last minute on line for Staten Island, but when I called the place, they said they wouldn’t have it until the next day (Saturday) even though on-​line it said it was available. When I called to cancel, the lady said «Rahway, NJ» has one.
When I called Abe’s, they said «let me make a call or two, I might not be able to get the 10 foot, if not the 16 foot will be the same price.» Sure enough, they got me the 16 foot truck. They we also very nice, accommodating, and patient while I called Geico to check if rentals were covered by my policy (they are).
Overall Abe’s gave me great service and really came through in the clutch. MAJOR BAILOUT!!! If you live near them and need a mechanic, you might want to give them a shot. They seem to be into customer satisfaction.

Brought car in Friday evening just before closing. I called first and they said they would be able to look at the transmission on Saturday around noon. I never heard back from them on Sat. (Minus 1 star) I called on Monday (late morning) to find out the status. Guy said he was working on the estimate and would call me back in a couple of hours. That means they didn’t look at the car on Sat or even Mon morning. (Minus another star)
Heard back from them Mon afternoon. A few things need work, some simple, some complicated. They will start to take apart the front differential (2004 Jeep) and if it can be rebuilt, they will do that; otherwise they will get a used one as a replacement. They didn’t say when my Jeep would be fixed and ready for pickup, but I’m hoping by the end of Tues (crosses fingers!).
Called Wednesday afternoon and found out they were almost finished. They were test driving the car. They ended up rebuilding my differential because the replacement they received was in worse shape than mine. They reviewed what service they performed and I was happy that the total bill was less than the estimate. Another issue is they left the steering wheel all grimy from grease. A lot of repair places have done this lately and I’m tired of it. They had one of those pieces of protective paper on the floor… someone needs to invent that for steering wheels.
I’ll update this review in a few thousand miles and let you know if everything is still good.
