An ‘old school’ diner that does a basic breakfast very well. Small, only a few tables and the counter seats. Super nice waitress. The kind of place that probably has had the same regulars for the last 50 years. Glad we gave it a chance.

I had the chicken gyro and it was excellent. Friendly staff and you can’t beat the prices.

This is your no frills luncheonette and it jets the job done fast for your commuter breakfast. It’s plain coffee flavored coffee and regardless what other reviews have said about it it’s excellent and I could care less if its not fair trade organic or not peppermint patty flavored for the holidays! The omelet I had was plenty and fresh, and the home fries were slightly crispy. I will try lunch next.

Old school, fountain-soda-type place with a jukebox(unsure if operational) gem in downtown Rahway. The chili dog was well received, and their burger was also quite tasty. This is an interesting spot — they have invested considerable money into the surrounding area, yet on the weekday I went, there was literally not one single person out and about — I mean, like Twilight Zone spooky(no cars parked, no people walking — NOTHING!). I would likely go back, but will more likely forget about this place unfortunately.

Chili dog n fries. Nice old school luncheonette. Hot dogs were ok. However re-heated. staff were friendly and the prices were great. I will give it another try closer to lunchtime to try a fresher dog.

Breakfast was fast and good — I know its hard to mess up an omelet but it was pretty darn good and fresh off the skillet. The french toast was darn good too! Not crazy about their coffee. Gonna try their hotdogs tomorrow — supposedly their pretty darn good too!

I heard this place was a hot dog hit so a made my way over. Ordered 2 dogs all the way. The dog did have a hint of a kielbasa taste. A pleasant surprise. The chili sauce was good but mild. The bun was a little too dense. the place is tiny with a counter on one side and about 6 booths on the other. Friendly folks. A bit dated but I guess I just a sucker for nostalgia.

This was the second stop on the 2010NJ Hot Dog Tour. I had a Texas weiner. The chili was homemade. Another great dog. They were prepared for the 100 or so hungry people that were on the tour so the dogs were hot and ready. Tour veterans informed me that they have been to the Rahway Grill after the 2009NJ Hot Dog Tour and found the hot dogs to not be quite as good or fresh.
