The smoked turkey is to die for. Great BBQ, fresh baked bread, desserts, local honey, and a nice little selection of wine for starters. Recommended by friends, we make this hidden gem a day trip, and it is worth the drive. We been there several times now, and each time we find new things, along with the quality BBQ that we expect. Try it, you won’t regret it!

I loved the atmosphere. They do a great job with the store and the interior. The meat we had tasted good. The sides, however, were missing something. It wasn’t a bad restaurant, but I felt the sides hurt the potential of how good this place really could be.

This place was recommended by a local. I’m glad we came! The pulled pork was outstanding. The baked beans and potato salad were excellent as well! Great atmosphere off of the beaten path. Worth the trip!

Stopped on a Sunday in July after 6:00 for dinner and it was the only BBQ in any direction open for 30 miles. WOW were we glad because the chopped pork was great, the BBQ beans mustardy great, the sour slaw coarsely chopped and worthy of a TV show segment. The chips were SEC southern from Golden Flake and the view of the lake from the dockside dining restful. The cruisers up and down the water were entertaining and friendly. The local Southside policeman who directed us to this place IS the local Chamber of Commerse and KNOWS southern hospitality, thank you officer.
