This store is a hidden gem for the traveler. The selection of books is amazing and the staff is exceptionally helpful in answering questions and making to right selection. Although their stock consists of previously read books, I have yet to buy one that is marked up or missing pages. Plus their prices are substantially less than one would pay for a new one just a few feet away so when you are finished, you don’t mind passing it along to a fellow traveler, family member or friend that still prefers something other than a Kindle or Nook.

Drew Crew! Ingenious Idea for the Literate Few in an Airport! Unbelievable! Used Books for Sale in a place where you could be for a while! I did a second and third take look I was so incredulous! Something Nostalgic about a Paper Book and the Romance of really Turning Pages, then add to that, you are getting one broken-in and comfy like a pair of second-hand Jeans from a Thrift Store! Great Looking, Clean Well Organized Shop!

A welcome change from the high prices and limited selection of the usual airport newsstand/bookstore. The concept here is brilliant, it would be nice to find a small used book store in more places.

What a great concept to have a used bookstore at an airport! It’s a sure treasure!

Since 2nd Edition moved from its glorified kiosk at the airport into this new location in the new wing of RDU, I’ve become a bigger fan. It’s a surprising store to find in any airport where books are almost an afterthought carried amongst the sundry souvenirs. 2nd Edition has the requisite popular titles but also carries the same type of stock you’ll find in any other used bookstore: mysteries, nonfiction, children’s books, science fiction. The prices are higher than a non-airport bookstore, but still less than the price of a new book. And in a nod to the current travel /packing /carry on rules, 2nd Edition can help you out with that as well. After finding several books, I was dealing with a dilemma — which books to put back as I didn’t have spare room in my carry on. The friendly employee mentioned 2nd Edition could mail my books as an option. Jackpot! If you need a book for your travels or can’t find what you need in the off airport bookstores, 2nd Edition may be able to help you out.

Best. Idea. Ever. And aside from just the concept, the execution is great too – the store is incredibly organized, the prices are good, and the staff are incredibly nice to boot. It’s probably one of the best used bookstore I’ve ever been in, period; the selection is stuff you actually want to read, they’re organized within useful subject categories and alphabetically within that(not just thrown on a subject shelf), and there’s a great mix of popular and rarer items. I got two great novels; if I’d spent the same money at the typical airport bookstore/news kiosk, I’d have gotten maybe two magazines.

Great lil book shop that sells used books for a fraction of the price of new ones. Great place to get something to read when you are waiting around in the airport with nothing to do. They had a great selection of books and the staff is very helpful.
