*since posting this review and sending in a letter explaining my case this company has been nothing but kind and helpful. It has definitely mended my previously sour opinion. I would still like to leave the review the way I originally wrote it bc it was an honest opinion at the time. They have refunded me and been extremely kind. Original review below. — — — — — — — — — — — — — - If I could give this company a –5 I would. This company is by no means a property management company. They are way in over their heads. The ridiculousness that I dealt with before I even moved into this complex is insane. When my roommate and I first saw this place it was extremely dreary, and we thought the outside was really run down; however, when we saw the inside it looked really nice. It was the model — of course it would. The girl showing us the apartment said that we could move into the exact same apartment that would be newly renovated with vaulted ceilings. A week later we called back and decided to go with the apartment bc we couldn’t find anything downtown within our price range and location, and what they showed was actually pretty nice excluding the outside. BUTTHEN it all went downhill. We were originally supposed to move the last weekend of October, but due to «unforeseen» reasons there were«unexpected delays» to our renovation, so they happily moved our date to the first weekend of November so we could still move into unit 302. I took off of work for this day so that I could get my stuff from my house in Wilmington and move it to Raleigh. I then received an email a week or two later saying that 302 would no longer be ready by the first weekend in November, but another one with renovations and vaulted ceilings would be available. So they moved us from unit 302 to 304. THEN they emailed me again 3DAYS before I move in telling me 304 will not be available so they would have to move me to 303. I had to change some of my utilities I’d already set up, which actually cost me money. They said it would be renovated and have vaulted ceilings as well. Of course when I arrived at the apartment complex I walk in to discover mold and rust under the sinks, a dirty toilet, a crack in the ceiling with water damage, among multiple other problems. When I went to management I was extremely upset because of the annoyance of all the previous emails. Thankfully I hadn’t given them my deposit or first month’s rent yet. The girl said she had done a walk through and everything looked really good to her, which is baffling to me and proves the lack of standards and integrity that this company has. I told them we weren’t moving in and found a house online downtown 3 hours later and moved in the next day to a CLEAN home that was renovated and exactly as it appeared to be online. My roommate and I went to tell them that they owed us for the money that we had to put down for utilities because had we been promised what we signed for then it would be fine, but because we were lied to and it cost us money, they needed to compensate us. The manager was a joke. He didn’t listen to anything we said. He repeated the same thing over and over about«apologizing for our inconvenience» but he couldn’t do anything bc it wasn’t their fault that we lost money with utilities. We basically ended by saying our lawyer would be in touch. $ 300 doesn’t sound like a lot, but it’s the principle and that’s a fourth of my current rent. The lawyer is basically saying that because we signed we were«detrimentally relying» on them to provide us with a safe and clean residence. Because they have failed to do so, they owe us. LONGSTORYSHORT — DON’T WASTEYOURTIMEWITHTHISCOMPANY.

This place is an absolute joke! We have been here for a few years and it was fine when the previous company owned it(Tarheel). It was fine because rent was $ 675 a month. 3 Points purchased and took over the management of all the Tarheel properties in December 2014 and have been painting and completing small, minor repairs to buildings that should have just been demolished. Now, they have raised the rent from $ 675 to $ 1150. A 70.4% increase in rent? For 2 coats of paint, new carpet, and a few appliances? Get OUT of here! As one of my neighbors said, «they’re putting lipstick on a pig.» These buildings should be condemned — between the termites(among other infestations like drain flies in every unit and don’t get me started on the spiders), the ceilings falling in, water damage, NO insulation from the attic(at least $ 120 power bill, more like $ 140), railings falling off balconies, stoves so crooked my pots and pans slide off(dinner is fun here)…I could go on forever. And GODFORBIDYOUNEEDMAINTENANCEFORANYTHING. They are currently 374 tickets behind on top of all the half @$$ «improvements» they are making. We have had at least 8 requests in for 11 weeks and not a single thing has been fixed. We call them, go in person, send requests online… it doesn’t matter. They are in way over their heads — they made a horrible investment in a ton of properties that should have been knocked down but they are now making new residents pay for their own mistake. It’s unfortunate… but these apartments are only worth what we were paying when Tarheel owned them. We were fine with the issues when we were paying 70% less per month. The same issues exist but they are now covered in a fun pastel color, which fixes everything, right?
