The rating and my comments are premature. We are in negotiations to correct a bad situation and I have asked for the manager(Joel Key) to step up and do the right thing for a 6 year, loyal customer who has referred them to other customers. I am an experienced General Contractor in three states and know the HVAC business on a fairly intelligent and experienced level. I will update these comments if and when Air Makers has the opportunity to resolve all issues fairly and equitably.

I used this company for several years and their quality is so so. They made too many mistakes over the years and we eventually had to switch to a new company.

Installed new high end heat pump for me in 2011 and I was ok with price and work. Fast forward a year and a half when a blower fan failed under factory warranty. Ok with the $ 100 for troubleshooting but when it was determined the motor was bad I was quoted an additional $ 530 labor. Not a huge amount, but being I know it takes an hour to change the part on a bad day, I opted out. I felt they were taking advantage of their position as a Carrier dealer(for part warranty) and that the weather was forecasted to be cold and that I would just buy off on it. So I sacrificed the free part an ordered the motor myself and had it up and going in 45 minutes after it arrived.
