Since day one I’ve had nothing but problems with this business. They are the newest installers of the interlock ignition device. When I had it installed I was told it would take two hours which turned into 8. When I left and went to the DMV to get my license the car wouldn’t go in reverse and the next day the entire clutch went out. They assumed responsibility but took over a month to send the check to the mechanic so I could get the car not to mention I was still being charged for the service although I was not driving the car. Then when I went to have my car inspected the machine could not read the car. After two mechanics and diagnostic testing it was determined it had to be in the wiring and that I needed to see a Saab specialist. At that point I contacted Alcolock and asked them if I should bring it in to their technician to check his wiring before I spent more money on a specialist. I was assured the problem had nothing to do with the wiring of the interlock device. I took it to the specialist and he determined it was the way it was wired. When I went to Alcolock, they refused to reimburse me. I called the regional manager and he threatened to call DMV and have my license revoked!!! Your other two options for DWI ignition interlock devices are listed on the NCDMV website. They are established reputable companies. DMV didn’t even know Alcolock existed when I went to get my license. They just opened recently and clearly don’t know about the devices they install. I will be having their device removed and going with another company.
