I recently experienced the most unexpected runaround. First, I inquired about a property listed as for sale as well as for rent, which was ok. My ideal scenario was to rent with a lease option. I viewed the property with the actual owner, who at first glance appeared to genuinely nice. We discussed several options that would fit her needs for really selling the property, and she did express to me that rent with option to buy was ideal for her. having said that, she also explained that another person viewed the property and was in a foreclosure but also was waiting on his wife’s approval who was out of town. So I had my agent contact her sellers agent to discuss options, her sellers agent relayed that her client would not be interested in the idea, but when my agent reminded her that the property was listed to sell she think recanted. The owner used the same company Ammons and Pittman for the sell of the property and then the rental with two different agents. This was peculiar to me but we went with it. Then after my agent called her broker in charge she then emailed back asking for our proposal. We sent the application in that morning, then called to double check if the property was still available, the answer was yes. The next morning we received a call that the owner already accepted an offer that was before our offer for renting only. Hmmmmm, scratching my head, and she also said that she did not run our information so we can get our app fee back. Deceptive practices is what I feel about this company. Beware if you are of African American persuasion, and not in a traditional relationship. Donna McIntyre was not professional in dealing with my Agent who is listed as a pro neither was she honest. They will profile you regardless of your credit or how much money you may have. Also Malinda did not even come out of the office to meet me as a potential renter/owner, which to me should have explained everything. My money and application was already put in an envelope the moment I gave it to them just going through the motions to avoid possibly breaking fair housing laws. This did not set well with me and any agent wanting a sale would have suggested other listings available not just let me walk away. That says a lot about who I was dealing with never again. I will do my best to spread this to the many people I know. Just heads up.

I have a townhome that I rent that goes through this company. Overall the place people involved have been nice and knowledable, it just seems as though when there actually is something that needs to be fixed it takes forever or there are alot of hoops to jump, or no one is communicating with one another so you get send too the moon and back just so they can say OHYEAH and hand you a peace of paper that solves your problem.
