Cutting down our own Christmas tree has been a longstanding holiday tradition in my family. We moved from South Carolina to Cary in 2001, and when the end of November came around, we realized we needed to find a Christmas tree farm. Back Achers Christmas Tree Farm is the answer! It is a family-owned business, and everyone working there is so nice. I love seeing the owner out there in his bright orange cap. He always has a smile on his face. As is true with all things that come from nature, some years have better«tree pickins» than others. However, I cut down my tree here the weekend after Thanksgiving, and there are still plenty of beautiful trees available. Back Achers provides the saws. You grab one when you arrive and walk down the fresh pine smelling aisles of trees. If you don’t want to cut down your own tree, but still want to support a local business, they do sell pre-cut trees as well. The prices are very affordable. I found my 8-footer this year for $ 32. They also provide a $ 1-off coupon on their website. After you cut down your tree, they shake it all out, wrap it, and strap it to your car. I highly recommend making a trip to Back Achers part of your holiday tradition!
