I walked in today with the intention of picking up a product I use everyday and maybe browse around to see if there’s anything new that might catch my eye. I ended up staying for at least an hour. Rika is the one who helped me and she was AWESOME. Very helpful, kind, and genuine. I didn’t feel uncomfortable being someone who isn’t too experienced with makeup and I didn’t feel silly for asking lots of questions. I’ve been to this location a handful of times and no one has ever been as patient and helpful as Rika. Thanks for all the great tips & a great experience! :)

A very friendly lady put my face on here. She did an exceptional job given the state in which I had entered this store. While some representatives clearly have more interest in doing makeup, every rep can speak knowledgeably about all of the products. Prices may seem high, but these are obviously quality products.

I am absolutely in love with these products. I was introduced to the foundation when given a sample while in line at the Apple store for the iPhone 4 and didn’t touch it for months. When my dermatologist recommended that I use mineral based make up products my memory was jogged of the small sample I kept in a drawer in my room. I decided to check out the store one day for a color match and walked out with $ 300 worth of goodies. I know that sounds like a lot, which it is, but everything I bought was worth every penny. Speaking of pennies, their products are worth a few shiny ones(compared to Allmay/Cover Girl) but again, worth it. 100%. The make up looks very natural and smooth on my face(not cakey or heavy at all — I often forget I’m wearing any) and keeps my pores clear(my skin hasn’t look as good as it does now in years). I’m an enthusiastic customer and continue to head back for more as I need it and new collections and/or products come onto the scene. Check it out. Your skin will thank you!

I gave Bare Escentuals a try a couple years back. Started with the foundation, moved on to blushes and eye shadows, the mascara, then the lip glosses… you get the picture. The prices are usually the same at Ulta, and I believe the return policies are nearly the same. I prefer the no-pressure, no-questions-asked return policy of Ulta(got home, opened it, tried it, and really didn’t like the color? no problem…) but the Bare Escentuals store has TONS more colors to choose from. The pros are the veritable plethora of colors, the knowledge of the employees, their friendliness and helpfulness with finding colors, answer questions, etc. The cons are the lighting(the colors quite frequently don’t look as sparkly when you get home), the fact that it’s in a mall(parking, mall crowds, all that), and you can rarely, if ever, just walk in and have a makeover… pretty much gotta have an appointment. Do I still use this stuff? Yes. But for foundation purposes, I’ve since changed and moved on to Smashbox Halo which is the End All Be All in powder-based foundation. And there is no mascara on the face of Planet Earth like Christian Dior’s DiorShow. So I’ve been through most everything Bare Escentuals has to offer, and I still love trying their new eye shadow colors and liners, and the Eye Primer is great. But it’s no longer the only thing on my face.
