Let’s save a lot of time and just dive right in,“bo-jays” as it is known around my neck of the woods is one of the many perks of being a Southerner. The fatty mind melting goodness of the old south you remember from your childhood… IE fried chicken, biscuits and graveyard and dirty rice. I could go on and on but the thing that keeps Me really coming back is the Cajun chicken sandwich… man those things are just suspiciously good, like what are the putting on this kind of good. But in a nut shell bo-jays is a southern staple for sure in my book and a «must try» for anyone new to this area.

If you’ve ever been to a Bojangles then you know the drill. I visit this location quite often on the way to or home from my kids’ school. I have to say, they always get my order right, and are some of the nicest, happiest workers I’ve ever seen in a fast-food establishment. I saw on their sign the other day that they are now hiring managers, so if you work in the food service industry and are looking for a new job…

Not that Bojangles needs a review, but this particular store was especially good. The people working there might be the friendliest fast food employees I’ve ever encountered. Really fantastic service. And of course my food was delicious, as Bojangles always. Amazing sweet tea.

I went to this Bojangles mainly because it is conveniently located close to my work, and the simple fact that I have a really soft spot in my heart for fried chicken. Since the chain is based out of Louisiana, I really wanted to love the place. I have to confess my expectations were high. Unfortunately, they popped my bubble of enthusiasm in quick order. The chicken was crispy and the service quick, and that’s the good part. The sad part is that the chicken is really lacking in flavor and character. To be blunt its actually bland. If you want good fast food fried chicken, Popeyes has chicken with some pop — no pun intended. But if you really want chicken done right check out Southern Flavor. As for me, my experiment with Bojangles is over.

What is there to say about Bojangles? If you’ve been there you don’t need a review. If you live near one and haven’t been, then quit reading this and go get some chicken and tea. In general they have great fried chicken, fries, dirty rice, biscuits, etc. Their tea is pretty legendary according to most folks. I don’t drink sweet tea(I know this is a heresy in the south), but the unsweetened tea is excellent. As for this particular Bojangles, the service is generally very friendly and the store is clean. I usually come for dinner and it’s not too crowded. The couple of times I’ve been here for lunch during the week it has been a little busy, but they get you through pretty quick.
