This is one of my favorite coffee shops. The drinks are always on point, and it’s far enough from NC State’s campus to not be glutted with undergrads. The service is wonderful, and they offer a full selection of sandwiches(though gluten free would be AMAZING) they have wonderful cookies and cupcakes(and an amazing gluten free Italian cookie, perfect with a cortado) I haven’t tried their beer and wine, but I’ve been told it’s wonderful. The tea selection is nice too — free refills on hot water! The baristas are all friendly and the walls are filled with local art(that’s actually good art!) it can get packed on weekends, sadly, and I almost don’t want to post this because I want it to stay a hidden gem, but they deserve 5 stars for the excellence they put forward. Here’s to many more years!

Loved their coffee, I got coffee with the chocolate and orange syrup added to it. It had to be the best coffee I’ve had out, and I was told they make all their syrups in house which was impressive.

Great place to grab a quick coffee. Seating is limited and fills up on the busy days. I was a little disappointed in their nitro cold brew… basically just tasted like regular iced coffee. Despite this the other coffee products I’ve tried from them are very good. The parking can be tricky since it is in a pretty busy area, but you almost always find a spot if you keep at it.

They know their way around a cup of coffee! The drinks I’ve ordered here are consistently excellent, with smooth, velvety milk texture and skillful latte art. This is my go-to place to bring visitors to Raleigh; it never disappoints. The only possible issue is Brew’s popularity – sometimes it can be hard to find a seat. Regardless, it’s worth the wait.

I love brew! Their hot chocolate is amazing~ whenever I go there, I always get their peppermint hot chocolate. The place is actually bigger than it looks. I don’t like how the spaces are so tight but overall it’s comfy and chill! :)

One of the best coffee shops in Raleigh. They have a great selection of beans of very high quality. Their espresso drinks are excellent. If you like the lighter roasts, try the Ethiopia sidamo or the Nicaragua Jairo.

I stopped by BREW couple of days ago for a quick meeting. It was my second visit and like my first visit, everything looked nice, clean and neat. It was Thursday afternoon, but they were pretty busy, and people kept coming and coming! Anyway, as soon as I got there, I ordered ham and cheese sandwich with salad and ice coffee. I never had ordered food before, and man! I was missing out! Their ham and cheese were so warm, soft and yummy! I mean those ham and cheese were like perfect couple! Ham and cheese were very attached to each other and made everything so good! Oh and side salad was amazing, too! I loved their dressing a lot: It wasn’t sour or sweet but it tasted very healthy& not too simple! Loved it! I was so full by the time I finished my whole sandwich, but I wish I could’ve eaten more! And woooo I loved BREW coffee’s smell and taste! It wasn’t strong but it had very delightful taste. Very smooth, good flavor, just perfect! Overall, my ham & cheese sandwich and ice coffee were so good and I loved their atmosphere! I cannot wait to visit BREW again soon!

This is my favorite place to meet new volunteers for my organizing job because I love the dark wood tables, the changing art, and the space for a getting-to-know you meeting. Absolutely helps my volunteers feel at ease when i talk to them about my organization.(Not to mention plenty of parking). I come here so often that they know my coffee and, occasionally I run into Lauryn C! The coffee is solid, they have counter culture but they really impressed me with the pour over option. It was so good, and comforting for a long day of engaging my community.

Location: BREW coffee located at the other side of downtown where new renovations brought up so many businesses. You can find many places to eat and even bakeries to compete with this place but I think you ought to try their coffees, at least latte. Anyway, since there are so many restaurants, parking spaces are limited. Be prepared. Coffee: I had latte. Yea, just regular latte. But it came with surprises. First of all, I ordered to-go latte. Unlike the other coffee places, which serve coffee cap exactly like Starbucks, this place has a better one. I regretted that I didn’t photograph it. Well, how do I describe it? The cap is like the cap for kids. It prevents coffee accidentally from burned your mouth. Very sweet. Back to the latte, I enjoyed it very much. The coffee is not fruity and sour. For those who enjoyed strong latte, this is it ! Service: didn’t experience much a friendly service even though it’s not a busy time. Actually, the service is bit cold to me. Is it because I have a serious face which push people away from me?! Jk! But the server was nice to the people who is in front of me. So I guess I was not fairly treated somehow. Overall: for the quality of food, a solid 4 star.

What’s not to love about BREW? Coffee, beer, treats, friendly staff plus an incredibly inviting atmosphere, tables or bar seating and free wifi. On my recent Saturday afternoon visit, I noticed a lot of customers with their laptops making BREW their work center. Whether you’re in the mood for a for a quick encounter with Seaboard Stations newest addition or want to put in your time there, they will have you covered. Two rotating beers on draft plus a wide selection of local bottles and cans, and wine, in addition to a full coffee bar. They also have a nitro coffee on tap [something I’ve only seen one another time at a tiny place in Charlotte – «Not Your Coffee». Ordering beers and taking a seat at the bar was a perfect idea. You’ll be poured a 12oz mason jar of beer for around $ 4.50-$ 5.00/pour [prices are lower for canned/bottled beers]. The two female barista’s on staff on our visit were great. They were hospitable and asked if we’d ever tried the nitro coffee draft. They gave us samples and a great perspective into the coffee market all around Raleigh. They even recommended other coffee spots around town to satisfy all our needs, who doesn’t love a shop that supports it’s community! BREW is easy to get to from downtown Raleigh by utilizing the FREE R-Line bus system. They have First Friday events and it’s common to see one of the two owners on site [as we did on our visit!] I definitely recommend paying a visit to BREW Coffee Bar and experiencing this treat!

Stinky experience. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and I ordered a chai tea and a chocolate chip cookie. My friend ordered a green tea«for here». The place was empty but we saw that as a good thing«we have the place to ourselves». Anyway my tea came out and it was barely lukewarm. I’m in a good mood so just keep sipping. My friend’s green tea is very bitter(even after adding copious amounts of honey). Still, no complaints. We had been there 10 minutes at that point(20 minutes before closing) and we smell something putrid — I look over and it’s the mop… It smelled like sewer and was our hint from the staff to leave. They were busy closing up the place — talk about feeling unwelcome. After my lukewarm tea, awful smells and being mopped out the door, we won’t be back. Music was good though.

I love brew. A lovely balance of great coffee and friendly staff. You can be new or a regular and still feel right at home. The coffee is served with care and concern, competing with the main players and then going a bit farther. They have guest roasters. That’s pretty sweet. And speaking of sweet. Try the Nitro brew. Damn… fine. Smooth. No acidic bite, just beauty trickling over your tongue. I love the little hideaway around back… shhhhhh– my secret hiding place. And the Kickstarter Mug Wall of Honor. Lovely touches that make AJ and the crew special.

My first experience here at BREW, but I am very pleased so far! I got the Nitro coffee, which was so yummy! The nitro gives the coffee a creamy and fuller flavor. The pastries are delicious too! I love how they have their own parking area, so you don’t have to worry about parallel parking if you’re as bad as I am. It’s not as crowded as you’d imagine, but it could be the time that I went. I’ll definitely be back to try other items on their menu. Their sandwiches and salads sound good as well!

Interesting route to this place, originating down Western Blvd. GPS had me turn on Peace Street, which is a very abrupt and hard swing, so I missed it entirely. If you’re coming from that direction, please be mindful that the road is trying to screw you. Finally got there after a couple twists and turns. Parking is purely a crap shoot, depending on what time of day you get there. It was 2pm on a Saturday and I got a very lucky spot as someone was just pulling out. I saw the person behind me cursing and waving a fist because they wanted the space for themselves. Crap shoot. Nice and clean with the menu on the wall. Counter seating to the right, tables to the left, with a sparse row of stools out back for the truly desperate. I saw one al fresco table right outside the huge window. The workers were friendly and knowledgeable. Starbucks has me programmed to instinctively ask for an iced Red Eye, so that’s what I ordered. They were jazzed about preparing it for me because no one ever orders things like that. It all poured out like Guiness stout, with a magical head of foam on top(crema). It was the most fantastic Red Eye I’d ever had in my life. Power outlets line the table seating but I didn’t see this business as the type where you plug in your laptop and write that awesome screenplay you’ve been dreaming about. I scored a seat by the window and just zoned out in a people-watching marathon. It was relaxing, a great spot for those do-nothing days of reflection. But I wouldn’t go in there to work.

Whoa I am so late in writing a review for BREW. I come here quite often despite living in Carrboro now. I try not to drink caffeine/coffee often because I used to drink so much that my body doesn’t handle it too well anymore. However, I enjoy a good cold brew; it’s easy on my stomach and quite delicious. If not that, I always get tea. Their teas come out on a wooden paddle with a timer to let you know when to pour yourself a perfect cup of tea. If I just want to get some work done, I like to go in the back alcove. It’s somewhat private and a lot quieter(usually). There are many neat details about BREW, and I love how they’re so involved with the community. Follow their instagram! Plenty of parking and really rad people behind the counter. I think in terms of actual coffee/tea, BREW is my favorite place!

Woohoo, a really nice coffee shop in dtr with a nice big parking lot!!! I came here after studying at the library in desperate need of some caffeine. I got their mocha– so tasty and surprisingly strong! My boyfriend generally doesn’t like mochas but he took a sip and wanted to get more! We also got their vanilla latte– slightly more bitter but still very good. Soon after, the caffeine kicked in so I continued my studies here. Brightly lit, clean tables, fast wifi. Nicely decorated too! Great coffee, lovely ambience, and easy parking. Why wouldn’t I come back?

A perfect vanilla latte– no sugar needed! I am so excited to finally have tried BREW! Having graduated from Peace a few years ago(back when Seaboard was sad and mostly-empty) I really appreciate a great local coffee shop steps away from my Alma Mater. BREW offers your usual hot and iced coffee drinks, a couple food items and bottled and tap beer! While the menu is pretty small and basic what they do they do right! The coffee was rich and had a great flavor(I had a vanilla latte) and I didn’t need to add any sugar since the vanilla added a light sweetness. My coffee buddy enjoyed her coffee as well, and we both gobbled up a plate of bruschetta in five minutes flat. While the serving isn’t huge I love that they use Yellow Dog bread(another local favorite) for it! The tomatoes also tasted very fresh! BREW’s layout is pretty clean and basic, there’s plenty of seating in the front and back rooms with lots of room to get work done! The guys working the counter were super nice and helpful and everyone enjoying their coffee was pleasant(some were busy working and some were socializing but no one was being bothersome or rude!). This is an overall win for me, as I love finding places I can sit and chat one day or focus and get work done another! I will definitely be back soon. I only hope they expand their food menu a bit, as I would love another coffee shop where I can grab a bite with my drink!

Nothing gets me more excited then a new coffee shop whoop whoop. I was so stoked to hear that BREW opened their doors. Right next door to Kimbap in Seaboard station you’ll find this cozy coffee shop. You walk into a wide open space with plenty of natural light and seating to get comfortable. There is also a back room with some additional seating if you want more privacy. I was immediately greeted by the super friendly staff and they had plenty of people working, my iced latte was ready in no time. On top of the awesome coffee choices including a cold brew on tap you can also enjoy beer, chocolate milk, and teas. They are still waiting on their permit to serve beer but currently they are rocking some Crank Arm on tap that you can soon grab a pint of. I love their branding and the whole chalkboard look. They serve their cold drinks up in mason glasses. There is also local art all over the walls that you can purchase. Another extra star for convenient parking. I love heading downtown to some of my favorite spots but paying for parking has just become really annoying to me lately, during the week it’s just too much of a hassle. Now with BREW I can park, work, get my coffee, and even munch on some sweet treats. Today I got a taste of an almond bar that was super delicious. Can you tell I’m really excited for this place? Yup new place close to the crib where I can be productive I’m digging it.
