Camden Asbury Village

I love living here! It’s been almost a year for me and I am so glad I found this place. Easy drive to DT Raleigh as well as Durham. The staff is so friendly and helpful and they throw some great resident appreciation parties. They are dog friendly which is great. Neighbors are mostly other young professionals so it’s never too loud or crazy at night (or at the pool). SO glad I renewed my lease!

I’ve given it a month to try to find something bad with this place and I can’t. I hope I didn’t jinx myself but I’m pretty sure I’m safe on saying that. The residents are friendly and the staff fixed everything I asked them too ASAP, which were minor things. I don’t think I’ve dealt with a friendlier leasing staff. Most places are just trying to sell you something and keep it moving. I can’t walk through the main lobby without hearing a personal greeting and them asking about things we’ve talked about in prior conversations. I’ve never felt so home away from home. I’ve always hesitated to leave Virginia Beach because of my comfort in knowing what to expect. I was a little worried all my neighbors had dogs because I didn’t want to hear ruff ruff all night and day. That hasn’t been an issue once. I wasn’t a fan of hearing Trains in the distance (even at 3 am and 6am) but I became oblivious to it in about a week. The only thing I might not like is the mailbox for my building being a little far but I’m not lazy and count it as exercise. As far as bugs, I haven’t even seen a spider outside. Roaches go where food is left out at all times and trash is left for days on end. I take my trash out every night and am super clean. I don’t know if that’s why I’ve not encountered the issue the other person did. Not calling them dirty, just saying in general. I would recommend this place as well as Raleigh to anyone. It’s been above and beyond my expectations.

Camden have made it look nice from the outside and market it as a upscale property but don’t get fooled by it. This is the worst apartment I’ve ever lived at. A week in, I found out that there was mold growing under the sink and and roaches crawling around. When I mentioned it to the management they said they sent maintenance to fix it but I did not see any changes. Every time I open the sink door the mold spreads all over the apartment and I can barely breathe. Also, one of the guys at the management mentioned that the roaches were there because of the cold, which I’ve never heard before. My neighbors were also upset about the rusty condition of the pipes and roaches everywhere. There’s a lot of mold and insect related issues here, which the management hides and tricks the renters. I’ve heard numerous people complain about the roach problems as well. I want to move out of this place as soon as I can but they have a hefty penalty for early termination as well. So you’re trapped if you move in. I DONT RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO LIVE IN THIS PLACE!
