Century Centerview Apartments

I have been here for over a year and I must say that I love it! Surroundings: Great location, a short drive to stores, restaurants and all the hwy’s. Lake Johnson is literally across the street, which was one of the reasons I moved out here to begin with. I walk around it several times a week and its beautiful! Beautiful club house and a functional gym. Negative: Club house closes when the leasing office closes and their is no access to the jacuzzi after the pool closes in the fall. That could stay open until the weather gets a lot colder! Apartment: Love my corner unit! The wrapped around balcony is amazing! Like a second room. Lots of Windows, which gives great light. The lay out is nice, big walk in closet, w/​d, double sinks and a great size bathroom with high ceilings! Built in desk and storage included! I think that speaks for itself! Negative: cheap spotlights in dining room, reminds me of 1980! The stove is cheap, the burners are terrible! No lights hung above the bar. Cheap fan’s. That all together, doesn’t match the rest and the rent. Dogs: they allow big dogs and yes, breed restricted dogs, as long as they are behaving and calm! They provide poop bags and bins. Huge plus! The dog park is always empty, but that I see as negative. It’s great that they have it, but they don’t promote it. It’s a dog community, but no water bowls/​dog treats in the club house like other properties. Car wash: they have a station! Most don’t know it, I happened to run into it after 6m, same with the dog park.
Noise: I don’t hear my neighbors come and leave. It’s actually quiet in my building. Either I have been lucky Or maybe people are just more mature, understanding and respectful here. Leasing staff: the new staff is always professional and helpful! Same day maintenance. The new gray building color looks so modern, love it!
Over all, great place to live, whereas I extended my lease this summer! Would recommend!

MICE MICE MICE! We had mice for 6 months, called the office staff repeatedly and they continued to push us off and make a bad excuse for a fix. Sticky pads one time, foam in the HUGE holes in the walls (yes mice rip right through that) and some spinner traps. They never did anything to get rid of the mice.
Also be aware at move out you will be paying for that carpet and ‘years of use lost’. They keep those crappier than builder grade carpets for 5 years and will charge you to replace it as well as ‘years lost’.
And the office staff? A joke. They change every time you go in there. Don’t bother learning their names, they don’t care to know yours and they’ll be gone before rent is due next month.

My now husband and I have lived at The Villas at Centerview/​Century Centerview now since July of 2010 and we have had the entire spectrum of experiences while here. We have seen 20 staff come and go most recently Stephanie who was the crowning jewel of the current staff. We’ve lived in a terrible apartment with neighbors ranging from a woman who threatened to shoot someone through the floor, to a middle aged club promoter who rapped to Eminem at weird hours, a ton of drunk State college kids who would play human bowling at 5 AM, and finally a couple whose marihuana would filter into our apartment. We since moved to another building in a quieter area of the complex and have been nothing but happy. We have ample parking and nice neighbors. The place is not build for success in the sense that our windows function in the simplest of terms but it is also an apartment complex. Basically since moving we’ve been happy. We are looking to move though but this is due to proximity to downtown and that being increasingly important to us.

I have been living at Century Centerview for a few months now… I have to agree and disagree with some of the comments made.
1. (bad) The ceiling is DEFINITELY paper thin. If you have anyone loud above you, you will hear them. In addition, you can hear people walking up and down the stairs, which luckily doesn’t happen often in the middle of the night.
2. (good) I am happy with the size of my apartment and the newness of it. I have the smaller two bedroom, two bathroom. It’s perfect for two people and our two dogs.
3. (good) Whenever I have had any maintenance issues (my ice maker wasn’t working, toilet was making a noise), I submitted a request online, and within 1 day I was called to schedule an appointment.
4. (bad) The leasing staff is a little obnoxious, however, I haven’t dealt with them more than signing my lease. I am prepared to have difficulty once I try to either re-​sign or move out though from stories I have heard.
5. (good) The dog park is always empty and my dogs love to run around in it.
6. (both good/​bad) There isn’t always parking right outside my apartment, but there is always parking near the leasing office if needed. It is not a 5 minute walk, maybe 2 minutes. I’m thankful they have parking available. If this is a cause of concern, live in an apartment near the main road of Centerview and you can always park on the street.

Who enjoys a rude and obnoxious leasing staff? Well that’s what you get when you live here. My boyfriend and I have been living here for 2 years and each year they have been more of a let down. The staff, especially the loud lady in the leasing office, are some of the most inconsiderate people I have met. Why? Probably because they can get away with it since we are stuck in a lease. The walls are paper thin and we realized that when a couple with a German Shepard started living above us. This dog barked like clockwork, from 6 a. m to 8 a. m and 5 p. m to 7 p. m everyday since the owner left him inside all day with the blinds open. When we finally couldn’t take it anymore we complained and nothing happened. We had to wait months for them to move out. I could go on and on about this place but here’s a few fun facts about this place: NO parking (enjoy walking 5 minutes to your apartment), thin walls, no pet restraints so there are oversized dogs living in small apartments, rude staff, charges for little things every time you turn around, power outages, zero access to the pool after 8 o’clock, the list goes on but I think I’m done venting :)

Nice apartment complex by appearances. Shoddy materials used in constructing the apartments, walls are paper thin (not surprised), over-​priced, and the staff are relatively unprofessional. I don’t like the property manager (whose name I’m not going to bother learning) and majority of the staff. The only staff members I like are Stephanie (Stefanie?) and the maintenance workers. The rest of them are shady, rude, two-​faced, and talk behind the tenant’s backs. They don’t care about any issues they have with residents, as long as they do what they can to benefit themselves. Any of the good reviews online are all FAKE and century paid for them, trust me. Everyone I know who has moved here, typically moves out within a year. Not worth the money, but I only stay here for convenience. I can’t wait to move out.
