The staff here are amazing. My review is recent but my time as a patient here was in 2011 and successfully again in 2013. I felt as though I was visiting family during my appts with the staff here. I brought my kids to visit in 2015 and we all became overwhelmed with memories and just how great things have turned out. Instead of just another«patient # etc», I have to tell you, they are sincere.

My regular ob sends me to the Duke Perinatal Cary office for my twin pregnancy scans due to their better equipment. If I had any choice I would not come back here at all. The biggest complaint is their lack of respect for my time. At 3 of my 4 visits they have been running late(including today). Twice it has been over an hour after my appointment before they called me back(I’m at 30 minutes past appt time right now). The receptionist, while nice, claims that never happens but when it does only seems to happen to the same people. It was so bad at my first appointment I had to cancel a meeting with a client despite leaving a 2 hr and 45 minute window for an hour appointment at Duke. The next biggest issue is their parking. There is a tiny parking lot for a large office building. At my last appointment I had to park across the street in the Waverly place parking lot and walk in the rain, 6 months pregnant, just days after getting over a bad chest cold. Overall the technicians and doctors are very nice but which doctor you see(for 2 minutes) will determine how much information you’re given. The last time the doctor walked in and expected me to be satisfied with«everything looks great». The only reason I found out the size of my babies was because I asked. They didn’t even tell me my cervix length. In this day and age patients are more knowledgeable, especially with a high risk pregnancy, and deserve more than«looks great». The exception is Dr. Rhees and the technicians who are fabulous and really talk to you.

You are in GREAT hands at this facility. As a nurse… and a patient at times, I’ve seen good, bad, and ugly with regards to care from unfriendly office/desk staff to doctors who rush you through your appointment making you feel guilty for asking one more question. Let me tell you — that does NOT happen here. I was nervous as I was going in for a pretty serious procedure and right away the front desk staff were so friendly and warm — it set a calming tone from the get go. The nursing staff, phlebotomists, and physicians were among the nicest I’ve ever met. They made this whole daunting procedure as good as it possibly could’ve been. I felt like I was in good hands… the nurse even said to me(if I had to have a procedure done, this is the doctor I would want doing it)…words like that are so comforting when you’re nervous. I left there in such a good mood… when is the last time you left a specialist doctor’s office in a good mood… exactly! If you find yourself in need of a perinatologist or any obstetrics procedure, I would absolutely recommend this group!

I started going to Duke Perinatal in 2008. We were having trouble having another baby and experienced multiple miscarriages. We first saw the doctors in the Durham office and were less than pleased. Once we started coming to the Raleigh office we were very impressed! The staff is very friendly and discreet. They even let us wait in a different room when we had a difficult visit and I was visibly upset(crying). The doctors are very nice and very informative of the tests they were running and the results they found. They were honest with the results but explained them in a very caring way that made you feel like you were their most important patient. We love Dr. Kuller and Dr. Rhee and after successfully having a baby recently, are continuing to see them as long as they will have me as a GYN patient. It’s worth the drive to be in such a caring office environment!
